Overview
The Operations Coordinator takes the lead by performing all back of house operations in a Tiffany store. The Operations Coordinator has a passion for providing excellent customer service and acts as a manager on duty and key holder when a manager is unavailable. Duties include coordinating order fulfillment, managing inventory, coordinating customer service activities, and may open and close the store.
Responsibilities
Deepen the relationship with our customers to drive lifetime loyalty and spend.
• Carry out operations and sales support functions to support the store in consistently achieving or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual store sales plan.
• Capture customer data during interactions to cultivate new and existing customers.
• Act as Guest Experience Manager and key holder, and carry out opening and closing procedures in the absence of a manager.Elevate in store experience by consistently delivering memorable moments.
• Service
• Demonstrate passion as a Tiffany brand ambassador during every customer interaction.
• Execute best practices by optimizing hospitality and store amenities to create unique experiences and take action on TEI performance and client feedback.
• Resolve customer and employee concerns utilizing judgment and thorough knowledge of policy, procedure and practice.
Operational Excellence
Provide exceptional operational support to drive sales and service.
◦ Execute daily tasks such as order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and replenishment, cleaning jewelry, transferring merchandise, taking in jewelry repairs and cleaning merchandise, following company operational policies and procedures.
◦ Ensure compliance with all internal control procedures and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Partner and communicate effectively with Sales Professionals, Management and customers to respond and follow up to requests quickly and accurately.
• Support Company operations efficiency objectives by ensuring all activities maximize productivity and by providing feedback on process changes through appropriate channels.
The Operations Coordinator at Tiffany and Co. is the epitome of a multi-tasker and leader of the back of house operations. Not only is this position responsible for overseeing the completion of all operations functions, he or she also delegates operations tasks and helps prioritize the daily work load. The Operations Coordinator has a high level of responsibility within the store and is seen as an important process improvement agent to ensure fiscal responsibility and business efficiencies are in place. The Tiffany & Co. Operations Coordinator will be accountable for the following key accountabilities:
Perform daily operational efficiencies to support achieving/exceeding store salesplan:Maintain accurate store inventory levels. Ensure all regular daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed accurately in a timely manner. Perform all reporting: Retail Control Checklist and Chain of Diamond Custody compliance. Regularly maintain appropriate levels of all store supplies, within budget. Perform POS terminal analysis and reservation maintenance to ensure customer needs are met and to prevent losses. Partner and communicate with Sales Professionals and Management to respond efficiently to customer requests, handle and follow up on merchandise transfer requests and process point of sales quickly and accurately. Successfully manage all intrastore transfers and ensure store is in compliance with company record retention guidelines. Work in a sales capacity as required.
Clienteling/Service Excellence:Capture meaningful customer data for the purposes of connecting with the client, building relationships, and personalizing future client development opportunities to provide an elevated/exceptional experience in all customer interactions. Independently follow-up on and resolve all customer issues to create an exceptional customer experience in every interaction. Serve as a store ambassador to provide the Tiffany standard of service excellence as needed by responding graciously to all incoming telephone calls, emails and in person interactions. Support key Company, Regional, and Local events and product launches.
Personal Leadership:Ensure proficient cross functionality in all areas of Operations department. Proactively partner with store management to communicate areas in need of additional focus and/or training. Ensure proficient ability to work in a selling capacity as needed. Multitask as needed to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities are completed in a timely manner. Look for business process improvements and efficiencies throughout store environment by assisting colleagues and proactively communicating innovative ideas to management. Exhibit passion and enthusiasm as a TCO Brand Ambassador by modeling elegance through appropriate wardrobe and presence. Support all key business initiatives and strategies with a critical focus on relevant 2014 new product launches; ensure adherence to all company policies relative to your role and department.
Qualifications
• 2-3 years of prior retail experience in retail operations with comprehensive knowledge of merchandising, customer service, administration and shipping
• Strong Analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work retail store hours as necessary, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Organized and detail oriented
• Flexibility to perform different tasks based on day-to-day business needs.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States or in the country where the position is based.
• A college/university degree preferred
• Graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work preferred
