JOB FUNCTION
Perform a variety of coordination/communication tasks within production area to ensure material availability supports crew, and line set up supports service requirements.
The Senior Process Coordinator (SPC) is responsible for all aspects of a specific business unit within the Production facility, including ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with Safe Work Practices, cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
As part of the Production leadership team, the main focus is responsibility for day-to-day performance and results, evaluate area performance, contribution and lead initiatives (e.g. reliability) to facilitate improved productivity.
Provide results oriented leadership that drives continuous improvement consistent with the Operations Strategic Plan and the Production Game Plan.
Co-ordinate, assign and supervise all production activities and outcomes for area of responsibility to ensure production schedule/agreed upon goals and objectives are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execution of Production Schedule
• Assign lines to Process Coordinators and review crewing to ensure lines are crewed to standard.
• Ensure line is set and job package is complete, crew and auxiliary equipment is operational (coders, gluers, cappers etc…)
• Coordinate printing and running of labels to support production into next shift.
• Provide Training to personnel on specific task, job function and processes.
• Provide support / coaching on communication for Production Runs using the daily communication tool.
• TECO Process Orders as required.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies to root cause Report discrepancies to Supervisors.
• Balance and reconcile daily operational hours, Maintain attendance, Fringe and Non Standard labor reporting.
• Communicate priorities to Cleaning Room and Set-Up personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Back-up as a competent Supervisor for vacancies/vacation.
2. Communication across Shifts
• Perform all daily activities with a minimum of direction but seeks out direction when warranted.
• Meet with coordinators/Supervisors from previous and next shift to review priorities, material issues, quality concerns, equipment breakdowns, safety concerns.
• Communicate next jobs to Process Coordinator
• Review policy and procedural changes
• Actively participate and support facility and corporate Lean Manufacturing/Continuous improvement initiatives. Lead PIT Crew when required.
• Actively participate and support the Canadian Operations 5S Program
3. Continuous Improvement
• Actively participate and support facility and corporate Lean Manufacturing/Continuous improvement initiatives. Lead PIT Crew when required.
• Audit lines for effective balance
• Provide feedback on equipment design and operability; support capital project installations (F.A.T, etc.), participate in value analysis and give back programs.
• Participate and provide input for design upgrades for obsolete devices and systems in an effort to increase production up-time and operational efficiencies
4. Health and Safety
• Proactively identify and resolve safety concerns
• Observe and conform to all corporate EH&S guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure job rotation guidelines are adhered to on a personal level & support job rotation
• Adhere to established Lockout/Tag out Programs
• Actively participate and evaluate PSR’s
• Participate in the establishment of annual EH&S objectives
• Actively participate and assist in managing Near Miss and BBS programs
• Actively participate and evaluate PSR’s
5. Housekeeping
• Maintain clean work environment at all times
• Actively participate and support the Canadian Operations 5S Program
Qualifications
Education:
• Minimum high school education. Post-Secondary Education preferred
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years work related experience in a warehouse environment.
Competencies:
• Technical: Basic knowledge of how to use production equipment safely and correctly. Ability to apply knowledge of packaging / production equipment to maintain efficient performance and meet all GMP regulations.
• Communication / Interpersonal: English language proficiency; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to resolve issues in a tactful and diplomatic manner, communicate expectations to other areas.
• Other: Knowledge of company’s production systems, procedures, documentation, and QA standards; Team player, self-starter, and a customer service orientation. Completion of the Supervisor On-boarding program
