Purpose:
Design and deliver specific and customized Global Operation capabilities to enable the success of the category and strengthened brand leadership. Drive the needs of the category e2e in Global Operations, at the same time leveraging Global Operation capabilities back into the category.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Operations Business Unit lead
• Partner with the category GM in formulating the category strategy connecting Global Operations present and future capabilities and capacity, and the Global Operations strategic plan.
• In partnership with the GM take ownership of the category P+L and contribute through providing operational excellence on all aligned initiatives.
• Own the Global Operations deliverables contributing to the success of the category, across all Global Operations functions.
• Create, lead and steer a winning Operations organization.
• Ensure that partner organizations within Global Operations have the right capabilities and capacities in the right place at the right team to optimize category business performance.
• Drive product innovation and quality, and process simplicity with the goal of delivering world class products in a cost efficient, fast and agile way.
• Ensure that products meet commercial targets supporting the profitability target as defined in the category budget and P+L.
• Make a major contribution to the formation of the Product Operations and Global Operations strategic plans.
• Take a responsible attitude toward the balance of category autonomy and cross-category leverage so as to deliver a continuously strengthening profitability for the adidas Group.
• Monitor and identify Future trends in the industry and give new impulses to the organisation.
• At the most senior level, create respectful, collaborative and productive partnerships – Marketing, Design, Markets, HR and Performance Management.
• Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training and development of direct reports and all staff.
• Develop your employees and talents within your organization and foster x-functional careers and also diversity within your organization
• Drive change as a role model and embrace and live the new mindsets for Product Operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proven senior experience in Development, Sourcing and SCM
• Proven senior experience and deep understanding of Brand and commercial drivers
• End to End Understanding and Thinking of the whole value chain
• Intercultural management experience on global level
• Proven record of leadership and accomplishment in a multi-national environment.
• Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written) skills, German/Asia languages an advantage
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate university degree or comparable education
• 15 years minimum progressive work experience, specializing in Product Development, Sourcing and/or Materials or directly related field with appropriate management experience, ideally in the sporting goods industry
