A peek inside the life of a Financial Services Intern:
• You will have the responsibility of accepting ownership of assigned tasks as well as assisting others in the department.
• You must be willing to learn new tasks and concepts while striving to provide accurate, timely and consistent financial information.
• We are looking for someone who will continually maintain a working knowledge of various computer software tools, building strong interpersonal skills and interacting with various individuals within the company.
• Must be able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, be organized and able to effectively manage time, and have the ability to work independently or with a team.
• This position will give you the opportunity to build accounting and business knowledge through experience-based learning.
Some of the Cool Stuff Our Interns Get to Do!
Accounts Payable
• Team with Accounts Payable manager to ensure timely and accurate processing of AP documents
Accounts Receivable
• Process cash receipts / client payments
Client/Brand Responsibility
• Partner with Business Unit Finance Lead to manage internal client billing / relationship
General Ledger Activities / Other
• Enter journal entries in general ledger
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
• Assist with external accounting firm year-end review
• Responsible for petty cash distribution and reconciliation
• Coordinate agenda for the monthly Finance department meetings
Expectations:
• Performance will be measured on the ability to learn and grow from the various assignments described above.
• The ability to learn and master this role will result in increased opportunities.
• Approach each project as if it were your first, bringing ambition and tenacity to your work—don’t be afraid to ask questions!

• You have permission to make mistakes, but we expect you to learn from them.
• You’re not expected to know it all—if you’re in over your head, call the right people before it’s too late.

The Pre-Req’s & Fine Print:
• Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing degree in Accounting or Finance
• Must maintain a GPA of 3.2–4.0+
• Successfully completed or enrolled in introductory level Accounting classes
• Minimum 20 hours per week commitment for a potential of a one- to two-year intern term based on performance
• Exposure to Great Plains a huge plus, but not required
