Develop DTC merchandising vision and frequency assortment strategies that develop the brand, drive sales growth, and increase customer satisfaction, while maximizing margins, inventory turnover, and product presentation for both our retail and ecommerce business. Identify denim and apparel trends, both merchandising and direction, use go-to-market knowledge and processes to make new product recommendations for all DTC business.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overall product vision and merchandising direction of all Direct to Consumer (North America) apparel collections for men's and women's that establish and promote exclusive product strategies that elevate the Wrangler brand.
• Responsible for directing designs and/or collections according to stated product briefs. Must be produced with a deep knowledge of product components, costing, target margins, and required FOB's.
• Collaborate with all in house and outside designers to establish Direct to Consumer time lines. Responsible for inspiring creativity and fostering new concepts that expand on brand defining products and technologies.
• Communicate innovative technology and design language within managed design groups for Direct to Consumer collections, categories, and series.
• Must partner with other category leaders to cross pollinate ideas and maintain seasonal design direction. Must bring a passion for apparel trends, design concepts, materials, colors, and other industry and trade evolution.
• Part of the Direct to Consumer teams that are accountable for commercial success of assortment planning, seasonal line offerings and innovative advanced products.
• Collaborate with appropriate teams to manage the trim development process for consistent brand message across categories. Partners with Product Directors to develop line direction from product conception through final execution.
• Collaborate with planning team to ensure all DTC forecasts are integrated into the greater company projections.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure print, in-store experiences and online marketing reflect the strategic initiatives of the company.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of related experience in retail merchandising, DTC, product development, and/or online marketing for top-tier consumer and/or national retail brands.
• BA/BS degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with and/or within DTC teams
• Retail Merchandising experience required
