THE OPPORTUNITY
The Director of Tax will be developing and managing all tax-related issues pertaining to state and local taxes, property taxes, federal tax provision, tax incentives, and international transfer pricing. This position requires a visionary thinker that can balance/leverage internal resources and outside consulting resources to achieve long-term tax strategy goals. This person must be a leader as well as have the willingness and capability to get involved in the details. Reporting to the CAO, he or she will provide financial leadership by directing the global tax activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all governmental agencies. He or she will assist with safeguarding of the global control environment and also help provide oversight to line finance and business leaders.

This visionary leader must be an experienced, collaborative accounting professional with the background and interpersonal skills sufficient to function successfully in a highly visible, growth-enabling and challenging position. Attention to detail, commercial engagement, a strong advisory style, and superior people leadership skills are important.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess these professional credentials:
• 10+ years of tax experience with state and local taxes and/or federal tax
• Ability to manage and translate a complex tax structure
• Manage and support statutory taxes and U.S. Federal taxes
• Experience with international taxes (a plus)
◦ UK, Japan, Canada, and China
• Support audits as needed (state/local/federal)
• Coordinate the development of tax incentives
• Previous public accounting experience (Required)
• Assist with tracking and managing new tax laws
• Experience within a public entity (a plus)
• Experience with development of SOX controls (a plus)
CERTIFICATION
A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required for this role.
