The Associate Manager for Brand Strategywill support the strategy team and overall organization by providing relevant, timely and fact-based business recommendations that are rooted in research and analysis and provide cross-functional project coordination. There will be opportunities to work with either our Classics or Running Categories.
Key Accountabilities:
• Collaborate with Strategy Manager to drive and implement a rigorous and comprehensive global strategy development and planning process that drives long-term growth for the brand, as well as a specific BU
• Proactively perform detailed assessments in strategic areas including consumer needs, competitive landscape, assets & partnerships, and business performance in key markets to identify unique market opportunities and threats and make data-driven recommendations to support the strategy development process
• Provide presentation and material development support for internal and external audiences
• Manage multiple logistical tasks of projects from onset to finalization, ensuring Strategy Manager is aware of pending status items along the way
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Analysis: Strong strategic and analytical skill. Able to derive insights and formulate recommendations based on data. Able to use business judgment and persuasive skills.
• Project Management: Strong meeting management, troubleshooting and negotiation skills. An extremely well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player. Flexible, able to handle multiple requests at one time and prioritize tasks
• Cultural & Business Savvy: Capacity to work effectively with a wide range of people, build relationships, be diplomatic, and exhibit sensitivity to and understanding of the dynamics of a complex organization.
• Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, marketing, finance, economics, or the equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic planning, consumer goods, business development or related fields with strong brand equity, international exposure, wholesale and retail channels.
• Exceptional team player with the confidence & integrity to earn internal & external confidence quickly
• Must have strong MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint capabilities with strong presentation and “deck writing” skills
• Must be a proactive, self-starter who can identify issues/opportunities, and structure approaches to achieve desired end-results
• Language fluency (written and verbal) in business English
• Experience with a matrix organization where influence must replace control
• Experience in the footwear, apparel, or fitness industries is preferable but not mandatory.
In the fall of 2017, the Reebok brand is moving its headquarters to a 220,000 square-foot section of the Innovation and Design Building in Boston’s Seaport District. The move will bring community fitness to a next generation design and innovation space; the all new workplace will foster a vibrant collaborative culture and will allow the brand to be closely connected to the community in Boston. Alongside state-of-the-art office spaces, the headquarters will be equipped with an extensive employee fitness center and a public retail store.
