Major Responsibilities
The Digital Planner is responsible for driving sales and profit objectives for the eCommerce Division. This responsibility includes partnering with the business to identify risks and opportunities and successfully execute the seasonal financial plans, inventory management and merchandise allocation strategies.
Role responsibilities include:
1. Provide critical analytical support to the eCommerce organization, including sales and gross margin analyses.
2. Create financial demand, sales and order plans, as well as in-season re-forecasting for key metrics at both seasonal and daily levels.
3. Responsible for open to buy recommendations and inventory management including: Review weekly selling and sell-thru to identify and suggest additional reorder opportunities and out of stock risks. Partner with store merchants and planners to balance inventory needs and overstocks.
4. Review receipt flows and aged inventory to ensure Internet has the right inventory to maximize sales
5. Work with buyers and planners in developing overall business strategies that align with the overall eCommerce strategy
6. Identify additional reporting needs for the Internet. Collaborate with IT to develop and enhance reporting.
Qualifications
Personal Characteristics
• Self-starter: willingness to work independently to dig into business and present call-outs
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
• Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
Professional Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Planner or similar analytical role. Proven experience with Inventory Control, Allocation, Merchandising, Demand Forecasting, Financial Planning or Analysis
• Excellent Excel skills
• Knowledge of Retail Math, including Gross Margin proficiency
• Experience with eCommerce retail
