Primary Purpose:
Manage the E-Commerce photo shoot process from conceptualization to capture and delivery of completed image assets that are creative, on-brand and visually appealing. Reporting to the Senior Director of Photography Studio, photograph E-Commerce and creative briefs for Coach.com
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in E-Commerce Photography to...
• Lead in-house studio operations from a photography perspective
• Manage and execute a broad range of still-life and fashion briefs including accessories on the still-life set and ready to wear on figure for Coach.com
• Work in partnership with the product stylists to create images that are on-brand and tell our story
• Responsible for maintaining photography equipment and supplies and managing the relationship with external vendors
• Determine protocol for marking up imagery with informative direction for the Retouch team
• Ensure that all products are represented accurately, creatively and in line with Coach brand guidelines. Set up appropriate lighting and composition for each shot.
• Manage exposure and color accuracy
• Oversee naming and organization of digital files
• Contribute to the seamless workflow transition to the Digital Asset Management system
• Partner and collaborate with the Retouch Manager and Styling Manager to review workflow processes, efficiencies and output
• Mentor, train and develop a Photographer and freelance talent
• Perform quality assurance on all images and feed back as necessary
• Create and continually refine photography reference guides and set plans
The accomplished individual will possess...
• BA Degree in photography or equivalent experience in a professional environment
• Fluent in Adobe CS, Capture One Pro and Mac computers is essential
• Expert in studio lighting brands and methods, photography equipment and digital techniques
• A strong awareness of contemporary trends in photography and fashion
An outstanding professional will have...
• Minimum 5-7 years in a fast paced commercial studio environment
• A strong photography portfolio that demonstrates broad knowledge of lighting and digital photography techniques
• An ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently and provide creative solutions to challenges that arise
• Demonstrate strong leadership experience and an ability to train and develop others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Time management skills with a responsibility to ensure the Photography team deliver to targets and deadline
• A meticulous eye for detail
