Therefore we are looking for talented people who can help lead in the planning, design and implementation of systems to support a single premium consumer experience across all our direct-to-consumer channels.
The Business Analyst III – Digital Fulfillment is a key role for driving the roadmap, defining business requirements, and implementing “Omnichannel” systems capabilities (i.e., buy anywhere, ship anywhere, return anywhere) across Columbia’s direct-to-consumer channels. The position will be the primary lead working with the Digital Commerce business team in delivering Order Management, Inventory Management and CRM solutions. Therefore the position will be responsible for having a thorough understanding of the needs of the business, and apply the knowledge of systems technology to successfully identify, design and deliver systems improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Work with end users in analyzing structure and flow of work through unit and recommends changes to improve operations. Includes gathering information and identifying their needs in reviewing existing procedures, and develop/recommend new ones.
• Works on assigned projects or operating systems to identify and resolve system conflicts and problems. Develops and maintains new procedures that promote interdepartmental communication and efficiency. Gathers input and output requirements from users and develops systems requirements and project flow diagrams.
• Coordinates functional requirements of business unit and technical solutions with systems personnel to develop the most cost effective solution. • Analyzes reports and procedures and assists in determining most effective use of computer and employee resources. Submits and tracks both modifications and enhancements to internal software applications including approvals, notifications, estimates, etc. Assists in developing test scenarios for new or modified programs based on needs analyses.
• Develops schedules and conducts employee training sessions that provide general awareness and specific knowledge needed to understand and fully utilize data processing systems. Prepares, modifies, and distributes documentation to end users for reference and training purposes.
• Often assigned as project lead or project manager for key corporate system initiatives and will direct the work flow of the group. In this role, works with division heads and super users to develop business strategy and system requirements. Leads the project team in creating and adhering to implementation timelines, oversees testing, brings the system online, and ensures users receive appropriate training.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field -or- work experience equivalent to a degree.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in progressively responsible positions providing management support and/or by analyzing business processes, team project participation, and providing advanced level of systems support and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in project management ranging from small system implementations to major key system initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of data processing and general business principles in an office environment.
• Must have experience with SQL and/or db2 query manager.
• Must have a basic understanding of XML.
• Must have experience with programs that use soap APIs and must be able to read and understand the contents of APIs.
• Must have a basic understanding of relational databases.
• Prior experience supporting or implementing Order Management, eCommerce, and Point of Service solutions desired.
• Working experience in a multi-channel Retail environment a plus.
