Summary: The VP Digital Design is responsible for overseeing the conception, design, and execution of all digital customer experiences for Ralph Lauren. This is inclusive of all online marketing channels, ecommerce businesses, retail stores as well as marketing and corporate initiatives. The Corporate VP Global Digital Creative must embody a passion for fashion retailing as well as the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative and creative ideas to create unique customer experiences and enhance the Ralph Lauren brand. In addition, this person should possess solid business and marketing instincts to ensure those experiences drive customer acquisition, retention, value and revenue. This role also requires high emotion intelligence and relationship building skills; to mentor digital and non-digital creative teams and work collaboratively with other functions in the company. A natural curiosity and self-learning approach to keep up with the rapid changes in digital and internet technologies is important to ensure the company and the creative team continue to create innovative and differentiated experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Act as Digital Practice lead within Ralph Lauren Agency to mentor and manage digital design team to ensure quality of execution at all levels within digital creative groups
• Develop digital center of excellence within the Ralph Lauren Agency
• Identify technology, resource, tools and training opportunities for digital team
• Work with brand marketing and agency creative directors to translate the Ralph Lauren brand into unique digital experiences that drive customer acquisition, retention, value, and revenue
• Work with Ralph Lauren agency Account Management team to leverage resources effective and respond to business needs and priorities
• Elevate the design aesthetic of digital deliverables while ensuring brand integrity
• Build and maintain deep awareness and understanding of consumer trends and needs in the various regions around the globe
• Extensively keep abreast of technical innovations that can be leveraged to develop new digital interactive approaches
• Effectively present initial creative concepts and communicate functionality and online interactive goals
• Interface with digital, advertising and marketing team peers to deliver work on schedule
• Effectively prioritize projects based on business needs
• Be a digital thought leader in the organization, providing mentorship and subject matter expertise to various groups and individuals within the company seeking digital expertise
Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience in digital creative and technology
• Retail knowledge and ecommerce experience
• Mobile design / UX experience
• Experience with all aspects of digital marketing and performance marketing creative development
• Mature, self-motivated, resourceful
• Strong management, communication and organizational skills
• Team player, willing to take on responsibilities at all levels
• Service mindset, ability to put the needs of the client and customer first
