A day in the life…
The Alterations Director will support our strategic focus on Customer Experience—where alterations play a key role as a differentiator for Nordstrom, Inc in our offering to our customers. Responsibilities include defining our short and long term alterations strategy and managing regional & local execution of the strategy.
• Create the vision and utilize competitive intelligence to develop short and long term Alterations strategy to improve the Customer experience and leverage capabilities for competitive advantage
• Lead definition of short and long term technology requirements; partner with Product Management to develop technology business cases and delivery roadmap
• Partner cross-functionally with Service & Experience team, Marketing and Loyalty & Business operations to build and deliver messaging / value proposition to the customer
• Manage Regional Alterations (field) offices to ensure quality service levels are achieved across all store locations (covering a total of 200+ individual locations)
• Responsible for creation of Alterations Operational budget (Annual Planning), annual efficiency improvements and maintenance of customer care standards
• Ensure appropriate training and career development across workforce

• Demonstrated ability to build and lead customer facing teams
• Proven track record at delivering results
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
• Proficient in data analysis and storytelling utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
