Purpose
Know the athlete best. Develop and steer the holistic marketing plan for the respective BU and drive the business vertically. Develop and steer the strategy and marketing direction for the respective area across functions according to the overarching sub-brand and BU direction.
Key Accountabilities
• Functional:
◦ Lead and steer net sales and margin planning for the respective BU
◦ Monitor product financials (sell-in-/ sell-through-rates, number of articles, volumes per article) and initiate business development action
◦ Sharpen the adidas brand positioning regarding the respective BU and strengthen the connect to the athletes, the consumers and key sport stakeholders
◦ Lead and steer the marketing plan for the respective BU according to the overall strategy
◦ Act as a cross-functional marketing team captain for the respective BU
◦ Lead and steer the development of holistic concepts in the respective categories
◦ Lead and steer all product creation processes in HQ and with regional satellites
◦ Oversee product processes and coach team to correct range architecture and process discipline (incl. coordination with global operations)
◦ Ensure a constant and balanced product flow in the categories for adidas own retail
◦ Integrate all relevant units in the strategy planning & go-to-market phases for the BU (Design, Development, Future, Brand Communications, Sports Marketing, Concept to Consumer)
◦ Optimize the usage of Future technologies, and maximize the integration of cross-category projects
• Personnel:
• Staff most suitable persons in direct report positions in alignment with HR
• Set personal objectives, guidelines and assess all direct reports
• Develop functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job
• Manage all direct reports as an integrated team by setting objectives, targets and guidelines to ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along all interfaces

Qualifications
1. Functional: > 10 years’ experience in SGI on managerial level
2. Leadership: > 8 years’ experience
3. Proven track record in Product and Brand Marketing, Sales
4. University Degree
