Purpose
This role is responsible for executing and implementing key merchandising principles as defined by the organisation. The aim is to maximize profitability of the adidas Group by executing the merchandising tasks. Support on building merchandise framework for the area of responsibility
Key Accountabilities
• Work with Sr. Merchandising Manager in executing the global merchandising goals and ensure implementation by working with the BU's and markets
• Develop and fulfil the range plan for season-highlighted concepts for all channels, ensuring brand strategies are executed so supporting commercial success
• Contribute to the enhancement of all merchandising systems and tools, working with the Business Solution Team to meet world class merchandising best practice
• Support regular analysis of competitor activity in the market
• Conduct the seasonal hindsight in coordination with the analysis teams.
• Contribute to the development of key merchandising reports
• Analyse and review Financial Targets and highlight concerns to ensure the range is based on historical full price sales and brand vision
• Work with the Director/ Merch Manager to analyse the methodology of option and space management.
• Work with Director/Sr.Merch Manager to analyse the data related to proportionality framework
• Work with the markets to include qualitative and quantitative input in the range planning
• Work with Sr. Director/Director to formulate proportionality framework and ensure execution of the same at market level
• Train the merchants on conducting trend analysis and make sure feedback is collected and sent to BUs in a consistent way
• Supervise the process of identifying best seller and worst sellers at market level and make recommendations accordingly to future season’s range planning
• Assess in-season performance and make recommendations for Speed.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a merchandising training program
• Store visits as needed and advised by the business (expected ratio office/travel is 90%/10%)

◦ Work, Liaise and coordinate with Peers and CTC functions

◦ Translate the company goals into team specific actions and business plans. Control and monitor performance and results.
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
• Fluent in English
• Additional language is an advantage
• Ability to present clearly to a global audience
• Good understanding of Retail Management systems
• Strong analytical skills
• Structured, organised and process orientated
• Attention to detail as analytics will have crucial impact on business
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure
Qualifications
1. University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
2. Merchandising Experience: 6 - 8 years
3. Management Experience: 0 - 3 years
