Role Purpose:
Are you passionate about bringing a brand and experience to life through video. We’re looking for a talented and collaborative Video Producer to be responsible for bringing the CustomInk brand to life in a variety of video outlets. You will be a tactical thinker, technical master and expert executioner. This role will be responsible for wearing many different hats throughout the creative process, including idea creation and finding new ways to reach customers through social media campaigns. As a member of a powerful and collaborative internal Creative team, you will be full of new ideas that provide fresh solutions while staying true to the brand and business goals.The Video Producer will report to the VP of Creative and play a key role in making CustomInk a loved, admired and enduring brand.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be skilled in creative development and hands-on production, as well as producing video content in partnership with both internal creative teams and 3rd party production companies. You must have a passion for fantastic creative work, be able to sell through innovative ideas, execute video projects end-to-end, and deliver this work with the best quality possible. You should know how to influence people/teams, secure resources, and be comfortable with powerful video production methods. It is important that you can tell the CustomInk story through a variety of lenses and modern expressions.
Responsibilities include:
• Working closely with the Creative Team and their partners to establish the direction of our videography for CustomInk in support of our brand.
• Foster team member engagement across the Creative department.
• Develop processes and procedures to capture all videos and brand messaging in the most efficient way. Implement these processes across teams and outside agencies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of video content.
• Conceptualize and iterate on creative video approaches with a cross-functional team.
• Drive process creation - identify innovations to create processes that increase efficiencies.
• Direct, create storyboards, and allocate resources as necessary.
• Direct video shoots, manage talent, and coordinate with creative and merchandise.
Measures of Success:
The success of the Video Producer will be measured over the long-term by brand perception and awareness. More immediate indicators include timely delivery of video content, remaining on-budget with good throughput and process improvement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• 8+ years relevant work experience with demonstrated success. Agency or in-house background preferred.
• Provide on-site work in Fairfax in collaboration with our Creative team.
• Mastery of all technical aspects, including experience with equipment, lighting, production/planning, storyboarding, and studio and field production and post-production.
• Skills should include editing, motion graphics, and video for multiple delivery platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects and create the best content and delivery for a specific use.
• Understanding of creative output (YouTube, social media, viral, etc.) and how to be most impactful in each expression.
• Huge imagination and expertise in strategic big picture conceptualization.
• Proven presentation skills. Ability to convey message, inspire brand integrity and concept fidelity in order to foster stakeholder enthusiastic buy-in.
• A positive and upbeat team-player with practical relationship-building, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects while meeting deadlines; willingness to dive into a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running.
• Exceptional creativity, enthusiasm, sense of humor, team spirit, commitment, professionalism... and of course a love for t-shirts.
Since this position will collaborate on important initiatives across the company, you must demonstrate a high level of teamwork and independent leadership. You must be able to build consensus without compromising.
