GENERAL FUNCTION Develops and leads the implementation and optimization of field and event communications for LensCrafters.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures end-to-end field communication processes create visibility to our brand mission, goals and operational processes.
• Acts as a key member of the brand communication team and partners with others to ensure field and event communication strategies support brand priorities.
• Promotes consistent execution across retail, lab and doctors’ communities; deliver the tools needed to give each customer and patient an amazing experience.
• Collaborates with business leaders and functional partners to provide guidance and align the essential policies, processes and resources needed to reach all field associates with messages that build their understanding of the field/retail priorities needed to achieve business and growth goals.
• Develops long and short-term field and event communication strategies that link the expressed need and prioritization of field leaders and store associates.
• Acts as the lead for developing end-to-end large scale field events.
• Optimizes and continuously improves the process for leader, operational and cultural communications that are targeted to field associates. Ensures the field communication process is balanced and promotes operational excellence within the field.
• Partners across the communications team to ensure the broader brand editorial calendar, channel strategy and strategic initiatives effectively compliment field communications.
• Manages and leads the team of field communicators to create and deploy timely communication.
• Ensures alignment and socialization of all field communications strategies with internal leaders.
• Creates internal marketing campaigns, engagement and incentive programs for field teams to influence behavior and increase sales.
• Leads overall planning, presentation development and execution of field events.
• Drives annual budget planning.
• Delivers high-quality results and execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism or related field required
• Experienced at engaging and inspiring audiences that drive and support business goals
• Superior writing and editing skills; knowledge of AP style; ability to write in a variety of styles/voices
• Exceptional leadership and project management skills; proven ability to plan, develop and deliver content across multi-channels
• Able to simplify and distill complex messages into relevant, easily understood, engaging content
• Proven ability to build and execute strategies effectively and efficiently
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and programs
• Ability to manage multiple projects and high volume of work through others
• Big picture driver who can diagnosis root cause, challenge the status quo and impact measured change
• Excellent presentation skills
• Solid project, time and budget management skills essential
• Ability to exercise good judgment and work well under pressure; adaptable to changing priorities and demonstrated ability to mobilize resources and act quickly
• Experienced working with internal and external partners
• Travel 10-15%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in store communications and managing direct reports is preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in retail and operations communications; experience in brand and change communications preferred
