Description
In this internship you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of specific functional strategies for the Procurement area, including market research, spend analytics and performance management across Western and Central European clients. You will report into the Strategic Capabilities Manager for Europe.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Prepare and distribute timely and insightful analysis (financial and commercial) to support the Procurement Leadership in decision making;
• Conduct market research and investigate best practices to support sourcing projects;
• Provide support to procurement managers in recommendations on specific functional strategies;
• Provide input and direction into business unit planning and performance metrics;
• Lead projects and continually seeks ways to improve processes;
• Advise on financial implications of business decisions;
• Identify and/or develop relevant management reporting and analytical tools;
• Vendor management and contracting process.
The internship is planned to be in various areas of indirect procurement, include training through hands-on work in:
• Market analysis;
• Negotiations;
• Tendering and Contracting process;
• Supplier relationship management;
• Working in cross-functional teams with professionals from HR, Finance, Facilities, Retail, and other areas of business.
Qualifications
• Education: 3rd/4th year student within Business Administration, Finance, Management or other related faculty;
• Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work in complex environment with multiple stakeholders;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Ability to promote positive change with innovation and creativity;
• Academic, volunteering or previous internship experiences related to Finances or Supply Chain are a plus (please include in your CV);
Minimum requirements
• You must be a student during the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution);
• An EU passport or an EU work permit.
