Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
1. Develop, plan and execute :
◦ All marketing initiatives to ensure overall brands’ objectives are achieved
◦ Public relations initiatives and activities within brand guidelines
◦ Promotional & digital activities within brand guidelines
2. Maximize Brands’ visibility and connection with the desired target audience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing
• Prepare and update Marketing calendars to ensure consistency with brand’s strategic direction.
• Plan and execute creative initiatives & activities to launch new products.
• Plan and execute creative mechanics for all retailers to create awareness and sales opportunities for all distribution point-of-sale for the brand. Track results of all promotions implemented.
• Maintaining and building strong relationships with key department store retailers.
• Supporting guides at counters with timely delivery of GWPs, stock inventory, collaterals.
• Analyze market trends and competitors by tracking new products and market development.
• Liaise with Retail divisions to provide promotion ideas, conceptualize visual communications, merchandising and window display for promotions and special events setup.
• Ensure that brand equity is properly maintained within the prescribed New York guidelines in terms of image and style.
• Maintain and keep track of all expenses for marketing activities to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Provide statistical data input for annual store presentation kit and budget.
Advertising
• Ensure clarity and uniformity of all forms of communications to consumers.
• Liaise with the appointed media agencies on media strategy/bookings, ensuring copy and layout are within brands’ guideline.
• Maintain smooth traffic flow of all advertising materials and liaise with all agencies on the upkeep of relevant & up to date advertising material. Managing creative agency in creation of advertising artwork, clearing approvals with regional and global.
• Execution of global advertising campaigns with local relevancy.
• Monitor all reproduction material in traditional media and digital landscape, to ensure its reproduction and contents meet Brand’s CI guidelines.
• Create and manage both printed and electronically created direct mail campaigns. Track effectiveness of direct mail campaigns.
• Keep track of all paid editorials and national ads on both co-op and island wide basis.
• Liaise with retail partners and 3rd parties on all above and below the line media.
• Track effectiveness of each advertising campaign, ROI analysis.
Social Media
• Managing and working with appointed facebook agency in the creation of facebook calendar and content generation, facebook campaigns.
• Giving direction to agency to ensure timely responses to facebook queries and comments.
• Managing Origins Instagram account and monitoring response and comments.
• Conceptualize and implement creative campaigns for both platforms to drive consumer engagement.
• Strategize and develop media plans in accordance to global media briefs and budget.
• Lead brand building through digital and online techniques and analysis.
• Creation and execution of content marketing via digital media platforms.
Events
• Event conceptualization, planning and Execution according to guidelines.
• Working with external vendors for outpost animations such as Christmas or key launches.
• Working with landlords to secure animation sites and publicity of atriums.
• Identifying and collaboration with suitable third party initiatives to drive traffic.
CRM
• Support Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) program – Origins Rich Rewards.
• Ensure smooth execution of Birthday Program and New Customer Cultivation Programs.
• Work closely with CRM agency for post campaign analysis and ad hoc campaign initiatives.
• Attending to customer queries pertaining to Origins Rich Rewards, ie. Points redemption and balance.
• Keeping track of CRM KPIs – Capture Rate, New to File, Retention rate.
Forecast
• Work with Marketing Manager and Sales Manager to determine sell-in and roll-out quantities required for marketing programs and make adjustments to existing products impacted by new launches.
Pricing
• Track Competitors pricing, work on new product pricing and periodically review regional pricing.
• Price list maintenance.
• Price right to maintain COG to brand guideline.
Training
• Educate, share & present to retailers and sales personnel on Brands’ philosophy, promotional and marketing campaign, CRM training.
• Conduct public beauty workshops to educate customers and promote the Brands when required.
Budget/Administrative
• Budget/VFB1 & VFB2 planning processes.
• Annual Store Business Review Presentation.
• Allocate and manage funds.
• Monthly Budget Reconciliation with Finance.
• Keep strict control over cost through monthly review of Expenses reports with Finance Department.
• Supervise and ensure that local purchase orders opened is reconciled to budget plans.
• Raising of Shopping Cart, issuance of Purchase Orders, timely submission of invoices by vendors and processing.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENT
• University degree, preferably with a Diploma in Marketing.
• Minimum 2 – 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably from retail and consumer goods industry.
• IT savvy and good working knowledge of digital landscape.
• PR savvy, able to converse, write and conduct presentation effectively in English & Chinese/Mandarin.
• Willing to work behind retail counters.
• Well groomed, dynamic and assertive, exciting & creative personality.
• Strong flair/interest in fashion & beauty.
• Able to work independently.
• Analytical and enjoys working with numbers.
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
