ROLE PURPOSE:
Burberry is looking for a dynamic, inspiring and creatively driven Brand Marketing Manager.
As part of the newly formed global Brand Marketing team, this person would help shape the future of the Burberry brand on a world stage. This would mean contributing to marketing strategy for all Burberry brand initiatives, helping to drive overall long term brand vision, inspiring creative thinking for all brand moments and providing insight and direction that enables delivery of innovative and engaging experiences across all platforms.
This person would work in close partnership with Burberry’s creative department and channel specialists (social media, bought media, digital marketing, events/experiences) to bring the biggest moments in Burberry’s marketing calendar to life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work in partnership with Senior Manager to drive long term brand vision and define cross functional Marketing strategy for all major brand moments eg Christmas Campaigns, Runway Shows, seasonal pushes, as well as ongoing brand initiatives such as Burberry Acoustic
• Work closely with creative and specialist teams to lead and inspire integrated ideas that leverage all existing brand platforms
• Help to inspire the Burberry creative department by building innovating marketing ideas and creating intelligent and insightful briefs
• Contribute to the achievement of Burberry’s long brand objectives, through proactive proposals of new marketing ideas
• Collaborate and build key relationships with wider functions across the business, in order to deliver against strategies
• Collaborate with product marketing and regional leads, to drive brand and product marketing priorities throughout the global marketing organization
• Remain constantly wired into popular culture, trends and emerging consumer behaviours
• Use information/data/research to construct irrefutable cases for strategic ideas/plans
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Dynamic and creatively passionate
• Must be a very capable, creative thinker – this role brings together marketing strategy, creative engagement, channel thinking, delivery and execution
• Must be self-driven, proactive in coming up with new ideas, able to take initiative and ownership of projects
• Strong communication skills – must be able to work with multiple stakeholders to drive projects forward
• This person needs to be able to inspire creative teams and business stakeholders alike, and should have a strong strategic focus
• Several years marketing experience essential, experience in luxury and fashion a bonus
