New Balance’s eCommerce Division is located in St. Louis, MO and is responsible for creating, maintaining and providing customer service for its branded eCommerce websites. This role works side-by-side with the NBUS Site Manager, newbalance.com, the NBUS Site team, NBUS Paid Channel Marketing team, and Global Data Analytics to optimize:
• Data-based decision making
• Planning/forecasting/reporting and adjustments to base plans that deliver revenue targets.
• Optimize the ROI on marketing spend (paid channel marketing dollars).
Responsibilities
• Build out the bottoms-up plans, weekly, monthly, quarterly scorecards (excel, BI tools, clickstream analytics) for traffic, conversion, and average order value for the digital business and individual marketing channels to update the digital teams on their progress towards revenue, spend, ROI, and KPI goals.
• Perform the annual budgeting, monthly and weekly forecasting, and long range planning activities for each New Balance product category.
• Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior year and provide insightful explanations on the root causes of these variances
• Automated reporting/scorecard that analyzes the profitability and ROI of new projects or new technology initiatives driven by data analysis including key site technology efforts (e.g. Navigation, Personalization, Mobile Pay, Mobile usability upgrades, ADA).
• Perform analysis on the digital marketing channel’s cost per visit trends to understand the marketing spend needed to achieve traffic goals and ultimately annual revenue goals.
• Review the digital marketing channels’ spend and revenue progress consistently throughout the month to ensure we are spending efficiently and hitting return on ad spend targets.
• Stay up-to-date on the quickly evolving trends within ecommerce to maintain a competitive advantage in the space.
• Perform ad-hoc financial and economic analyses related to these categories to help drive strategic decision making.
• Evaluate the profitability of our go to market promotional strategies and make recommendations for changes.
Qualifications
• Working knowledge of Sales and Margin analyses for product categories
• Financial Planning experience related to forecasting or budgeting
• 5+ years’ experience in analytical type position
• At least three to four years of working with standard clickstream analysis tools: Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends, HBX, CoreMetrics etc.
• Two years of experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research.
• Three to five years of experience in one or more roles in an online ecommerce or online support environments.
• Three to five years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills.
• Three to five years of business analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions / business units preferred.
• Mid-level expertise in the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies and a minimum one year experience measure success of SEM/PPC and SEO campaigns / efforts.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in Finance, Economics or related field
