JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Audits all orders for completeness and shipping availability; coordinates the daily trailer close-offs and matches the final carton count with the AS400 warehouse system and Levi’s Distribution System (LDS) in order to produce bill of lading at time of trailer close off; applies tracking, rush or airfreight stickers as per customer requirements.
• Responds quickly to all early cancels, rushes, and appointment orders by monitoring the AS400 system for any outstanding cartons, expediting flow-through for missing cartons in order to complete shipments and meet customer needs.
• Communicates with internal and external contacts ensuring all customer service requests are completed.
• Works closely with Shipping, Transportation, and Customer Order Management Team to schedule and coordinate carriers, delivery times and dates, and prepares appropriate documentation utilizing internal and external systems.
• Audits, performs sign-off and completes all carrier invoices to confirm accuracy of rates, and ensures the proper cost centre is charged for budget purposes.
• Prepares monthly reporting such as; carrier performance, budget variances, tracking of pallets etc.
• Responsible for basic knowledge of Process Leader function to support and act as a Back Up Process Leader. Comprehension of the collective agreement is required.
• Execute special projects, duties and tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Post secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in a distribution environment.
• Transportation experience would be an asset.
• Strong leadership skills and an aptitude to grow to the Process Leader level.
• Willingness to further current logistical education and formal logistics curriculum (i.e. CITT).
• Good influencing, problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships with other LSC functions and with Global partners.
• Superior organizing, priority setting and time management skills; uses time and resources effectively and efficiently.
• Credible, clear communicator to various levels of the organization and to external contacts.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work under stress.
• Self-motivated, tenacious and customer-focused.
• Drives for results and effective execution for self and when working with others.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Primarily works in a unionized, warehouse environment with exposures to conveyor noise, power equipment and dust.
• Must wear safety shoes and adhere to all Health & Safety practices.
• Minimal physical effort is required.
• Walking and standing on concrete floors is considerable.
• Numerous time constraints exist in order to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
• Early hours and overtime is required as needed, with occasional weekend work.
