Reporting to the Retail Design & Development Manager Europe, the Visual Merchandiser will play a key role in creating the visual assortment guidelines for sell-in and seasonal guidelines for sell-out.
Furthermore he/she will be responsible to lead Under Armour’s pan-European VM agency: being the teams main contact, coordinating their shop visit calendars and arranging various VM and product training for them. Additional responsibilities include assisting and participating in New Premium Shop Openings, Fair installation as well as any additional corporate initiatives. The Visual Merchandiser must be able to work in a team environment, have strong communications and technical skills, and also be able to work autonomously. It is necessary to accommodate a flexible schedule including occasional weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Develop visual assortment guidelines for sell-in
• Create both seasonal and monthly documents/ directives to help give the external VM agency and shop staff the framework to execute floor sets.
• Create clear guidelines for Internal Sale events and showroom set-ups.
• Manage the pan-European agency: Ensure all Visual Merchandising directives are implemented in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure all deadlines are achieved and proactively work to problem solve and trouble shoot. Work with team to manage workload with focused goal of executing VM vision.
• Present fresh and creative perspectives that deliver strong Brand messages through visual merchandising.
• Drive the product vision through collaborating with Merchandising, Planning and Marketing teams on the content for floorset creation and execution.
• Research and recommend seasonal props based on trend research, product focus and customer insight.
• Maintaining an inspiration library of current and future trends to support recommendations.
• Build and manage prop data base inclusive of mannequins and manage order process.
• Align with global VM team, together develop specific European VM guidelines.
• Manage the execution of all mannequin styling and creative element installation at Floor set including: windows and interior displays.
• Work closely with Marketing team on the development of in store signing and graphics, and manage on time execution of production and installation in stores.
• Support the merchandising execution and ongoing support for NSO’s, relocations, and expansions by training and developing new teammates in all areas of Visual Merchandising
• Work with cross-functional teams to remove obstacles; identify and escalate issues for timely resolution.

Requirements/Education/Experience:
• Mastery of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator required
• Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
• Minimum 5-6 years visual merchandising experience in a corporate retail environment
• Languages: English, both conversation and written. Second languages are preferred.
