Description
As our Global Marketing Operations Director – Global Football, within the Global Brand Marketing organization, you will provide leadership and direction in partnership with your category brand teams, execute business structure and contribute to the development of world class marketing. You'll integrate the company mission into business plans and initiatives. You'll define how the execution of marketing operations occurs globally throughout the marketing process; define globally consistent and efficient delivery/sharing of category content through defined systems, tools and processes; define budget, driving resourcing through, brand priorities, project budgets and timelines; create the vision of end-to-end marketing optimization, from planning and budgeting, through marketing process management, to global execution and analysis.
The Successful Candidate Will:
• Demonstrate superior level knowledge of GamePlan dates & gates and be capable of educating others on the expected outcomes of all key gates.
• Understand what makes a great Brief and can help improve the Briefing process.
• Drive working sessions, lead process and manage teams to achieve Category priorities, including driving clarity around roles & responsibilities for Brand teams.
• Consistently check and adjust process, resources, workload and skill sets to achieve optimum efficiency and results - stay flexible.
• Work with peers, leadership and Brand Planning to innovate and evolve Gameplan to improve results.
• Inform senior management of risks, proactively offer solutions and update the team when changes or delays take place.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Brand Concept Map for your category, with the ability to define the scope or goal of the stories within.
• Be a strategic thought partner with Brand Leads to clearly express seasonal plans, both for the category and in relation to the larger Brand priorities.
• Drive workload accuracy (Workfront) and provide up-to-date visibility consistently.
• Ensure proper process of approvals through Legal, Business Affairs, Procurement, Finance, HR, T&E and other NIKE entities to ensure alignment with NIKE policies.
• Leverage tools with Ops Management & Technology to drive foundational business structure for category teams.
• Take the lead to flow information to the appropriate teams, ensuring clarity and execution at a high level. Keep everyone informed.
• Assist Brand teams to connect all Functions and Geos around Brand priorities, facilitating strong working relationships.
• Proactively work to solve roadblocks and conflicts between teams, both within the category and across all functions and geos.
• Assist Category Brand Marketing VP with overall DC and OPEX budget management.
• Accurately track spending for Brand teams, holding all Functions accountable to the same accuracy.
• Drive a process of clear expectations, Brand oversight and Functional accountability.
• Partner with Finance to forecast accurately and provide visibility to Budget status and adjustments.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or an additional two years in lieu of a degree.
• At least 10 years of demonstrated Marketing Operations excellence and or Brand Planning or Brand Marketing knowledge, with experience in brand design, retail and / or event production.
• Recent experience managing a Nike global category marketing operations is ideal. This experience will include managing the global category marketing game plan process, understanding inputs/outputs and impacts of decisions on all key gates leading to a premium brand experience for the consumer.
• Knowledge of the intersection and relationship of global and geography marketing operations.
• Proven ability to develop and drive operational strategy and excellence throughout the marketing process, identifying and adopting best practices to optimize performance.
• Ability to direct the resolution of highly complex business problems.
• Experience leading and managing (directly or virtually) diverse teams with potentially competing priorities.
