Purpose
The Senior Director Programs & Strategy leads the Supply Chain Management Strategy team that supports, governs, and ensures the implementation end of the defined SCM Strategy on an ongoing basis. The Sr. Director, SCM Strategy will collaborate closely with the SCM management team in the implementation of the specific programs and initiatives supporting the SCM strategy.
He/She will bring a blend of strategic leadership, tactical decisiveness, end to end business knowledge, customer relationship management and excellent team leadership skills to the role.
Key Accountabilities
Implements and supports SCM strategy and serves as leader of the governance structures for progress tracking across all named initiatives within the SCM strategic
Recommend, implement and maintain the SCM Strategic Governance model including ongoing updates to the SCM and GOPs senior leadership teams.
• Identify and Develop SCM cross-functional capabilities to support execution of the SCM strategy, including cross-functional requirements with key business units (Sales, Brand, IT, Finance)
• Leads global programs and strategies with significant cross-functional impact (Sales, Brands, Market Leadership)
• Bring resources to bear to support the SCM leadership team in the ongoing definition of strategic focus areas including: new technologies, processes, and management models
• Cost and resource allocation analysis in SCM organizations to facilitate appropriate placement of initiatives
• Define, coordinate and support the prioritization of the SCM strategy project demand
• Planning and Implementation of service and application synergies where appropriate.
• Quality assurance of operational delivery processes.
• Approving and enhancing the Administration, Monitoring, Provisioning, Incident/Change Management functions and processes.
• Establishment, evaluation and reporting of SCM Benchmarks (KPI’s) identifying organizational strengths and weaknesses.
• Deliver efficiencies, drive standardization and above market service consolidation.
• Actively target and evaluate areas for potential cost optimizations in accordance with sound business methodologies, while continuing to support market requirements.
• Achievement of Service Objectives through the definition of operational requirements, establishment / optimization of Service Level Agreements, and their consistent execution across the markets.

Qualifications
1. At least 3 years’ experience in management of people. Ability to provide leadership, motivation and develop synergies within the team. Ability to prioritize, allocate and coordinate operational resources.
2. Minimum of 10+ years of progressive work experience in large-scale project or program management is highly desirable.
3. Minimum of 3 years in a Supply Chain Operations role, DTC a plus.
4. Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
5. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop and nurture relationships with other parts of SCM as well as the business
6. Understanding of the adidas-Group business structure and processes as well the adidas-Group SCM processes would be advantageous
7. Familiarity with adidas-Group business applications at a global / market business unit level would be desirable.
8. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is necessary
9. Fluency in one or more European languages would be advantageous
