Purpose
Act as the key point of contact for adidas field organization to drive directives, tools, process and implementation of visual excellence principles within DTC locations. Lead training and compliance tools through the Visual Excellence Organization.
Key Accountabilities
• Lead the development of systems, processes and tools to impact productivity, profitability, accountability and service within the adidas retail landscape.
• Partner with the relevant teams to create clear requirements and align briefs whilst ensuring continued alignment to global/US visual merchandising objectives and positioning.
• Develop guidelines & rules for training programs.
• Inspire and engage the team to ensure executional excellence at retail in brand management, asset management and consumer presentation.
• Focus on improving sell-through of adidas footwear, apparel and accessories
Improve processes
• Monitor internal/external best practices that can be adapted for the US.
• Develop effective induction programs for Visual Excellence VM teams.
• Identify training and development needs within US Visual Merchandising.
• Provide compliance measures to be implemented and monitored throughout US.
• Researching new methodologies and technologies for effective training in alignment with talent management.
• Creation of VM calendar with input from all relevant parties.
• Ensure ongoing and efficient communication with all relevant parties
• Lead and inspire a large team of VM experts to execute industry leading retail experiences, presentation and communication.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Ability to develop and implement innovative strategies analyze data and identify retail solutions
• Broad understanding of how all facets of the marketing mix can affect consumer motivation, product needs and the retail experience.
• Flexibility to work with short time lines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of, Retail landscape, training methods, visual merchandising, retail marketing, and presentation.
• Ability to interact at all levels within an organization—both orally and in writing
• Passion for product
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of clients, sales associates through senior managers and internal stakeholders
• Strong project and budget management and planning skills
• Strong influencing skills internally and externally
• Ability to work some weekends
• Ability to travel: Estimated at 30%
• Excellent MS Office skills
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Business, Education/Training or related field
2. Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant Retail and/or Product Training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Minimum 3-5 years management experience.
