Description
Job Title: Regional Brand Director
Reports To: VP/GM
Supervises: All Managers
Brand: MAC
Work Location: Miami, FL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Ensures Customer Growth
A) Ensures that Brand image and position are properly maintained in people and materials, in accordance with corporate standards
(i)Ensures consistent interpretation of Brand global objectives and strategies
(ii)Monitors for appropriate implementation of Brand identity
tools (i.e.: Public Relations/Communications, AT&D, Visual Merchandizing, Artwork, Digital, Social Media and Viva Glam, etc.)
B) Develops Brand goals. budgets and plans for the region
a)Manages achievement of sales objectives through planning, executing and monitoring marketing, sales, event, promotional
activities and stock levels
b)lnforms Brand VP/GM in New York about market specific needs in terms of TR and Caribbean local market
c)Works with Commercial team, AT&D team and Brand Marketing
in New York to ensure appropriate training tools plans
d)Builds and strengthens relationships with retail partners and key customers. Makes recommendations to VP/GM on targets.
Supports VP/GM to negotiate best solutions. Overseas
counter/site selection
C) Leads Analysis
a)Supervises the preparation of Brand category performance analysis and segment category reviews as needed
b)lnterfaces with sales force and visits stores on a periodic basis.
Solicits and compiles feedback from field personnel as it relates to proposed programs. Reviews complaints and suggestions relative
to assigned products. Submits a report of findings and conclusions
c)Identifies opportunities utilizing new creative approaches and develops initiatives.
2.Manages Operational Effectiveness
Executes goals, budgets and plans:
a)Supervises marketing, commercial, AT&D, and business management functions
b)Ensures strong execution of Brand marketing, sales and communication plans and calendars
c)Oversees forecasts to ensure planning accuracy and appropriate
inventory levels. Develops plans to reduce excess inventory levels
d)Ensures that no grey market area is created
e)Works with Brand VP and Regional VP/GM to manage activities associated with new door and market launches.
3.Improves Business Processes
a)Works with VP/GM and Finance to identify opportunities for streamlining operations, reducing costs, and implementing financial and management technologies to enhance efficiency of Brand operations
b)Directs space and location negotiations with retail partners.
c)Develops new distribution opportunities in line with company directions and evaluate existing distribution against corporate standards.
d)Ensures visual dominance at point of sale. Recommends capital investment in counters and visualization
e)Establish clear matrix for measuring results
f)Develop and lead regional sales meeting for the Retail Managers and Product Specialist
g)Establishes strong relationships with key beauty
editors/influencers in the Caribbean/Cancun region.
h)Manages Sr. Artist activity in the Caribbean region in conjunction with Artist relations/AT&D.
i)Develops and identifies strategies to increase local market penetration in the Caribbean region.
4.Leads and Develops People
a)Provides leadership, guidance and management to brand team and sets performance objectives
b)Identify and cultivate essential skills amongst the team and
oneself by energizing and enabling others to be successful change leaders within the organization.
c)Partner with GM and Brand VP to identify capabilities or areas of development
d)Establishes high workplace operating standards and values
e)Provides coaching, constructive feedback, development opportunities, and recognition to direct reports and field of Artist.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree required. Masters a Plus.
•Position requires 8+ years of marketing and sales experience, preferably in the luxury/cosmetics goods industry
•Experience in all aspects of brand management, e.g.: marketing, sales, training, merchandizing, and public relations and finance
•Experience in developing and driving a local market or affiliate business model
•Strong analytical skills
•Bilingual, Spanish & English (speak, read, and write). Portuguese a plus
•Travel is expected to be 50% or more
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
•Strong communication skills and people skills
•Experience of the brand is required
