Main purpose of the Email Marketing Manager role:
This is a full time and permanent role for a motivated individual who can partner across multiple areas of the business to develop emails enhancing the user experience. The person in this role will bring with them a deep understanding of email and mobile push marketing, as well as the enterprise-level ESP and Data Management systems that make success possible. This position also requires an analytically driven thinker who can work within tight deadlines and a natural peacemaker who can synthesize different viewpoints effectively.
The Details:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Create email-marketing campaigns to promote products or other marketing initiatives through SalesForce Marketing Cloud Email Studio (formerly known as Exact Target)
• Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to prospects
• Develop a personalization strategy
• Recommend specific graphics, incentives, coupons and detailed descriptions when required
• Understand responsive design and can QA mobile-friendly layouts
• Track and analyze email campaigns daily
• Use statistical analysis and reports to measure campaign successes
• Coordinate and monitor the maintenance, integrity, and security of several databases, IPs and servers
• Drive REVOLVE’s customer activation and retention strategy by developing and optimizing lifecycle, batch, and transactional email campaigns
• Develop programs to maximize customer retention, with a focus on repeat purchase, win-back, cross-sell, and upsell efforts
• Manage the end-to-end creation, execution, and analysis of all email campaigns
• Create data-driven, dynamic campaigns, audience segmentation strategies and testing plan to maximize ROI targets
• Optimize key channel metrics including open rates, CTOR, conversion, incremental revenue lift, engagement, and app installs
• Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations and maintain expertise in email delivery best practices
• Knowledgeable on email’s various forms of authentication: SPF/DKIM, DMARC policies, SSL certificates and more
• Manage overall email file health and inbox deliverability targets
• Develop and own CRM reports and summarize performance to various teams in the organization on a weekly basis
Required competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
• Highly organized and flexible with great attention to detail
• Ability to use a variety of marketing communication channels in a systematic way, including collateral development, blogs, interactive websites, PR and email marketing
• Ability to demonstrate logical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong reporting analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
• Able to collaborate in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines
• Effective organization, time management, planning and problem resolution skills
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in marketing, communications or related field
• 3+ years in online marketing, email marketing or lead generation
• Advanced knowledge of SalesForce Marketing Cloud Email Studio (or equivalent platform), email marketing technologies and ISP requirements
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Excel in particular (
Preferred Qualifications:
• Apparel Industry experience
• E-Commerce retail experience
• Working knowledge of SQL
