This person will plan, develop, and facilitate Global Visual Merchandising strategies centered around seasonal product messaging and marketing initiatives, to begin during development of the line to time of in-store execution. This person will manage the monthly floorset and work cross-channel.
The role is responsible for overseeing monthly floorsets and the compilation of all Visual Merchandising and Fashion Presentation directives. This person will facilitate the streamlined communication of corporate VM initiatives across all channels, ensuring alignment with Web and Marketing content.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees execution of monthly Visual Merchandising floorset for Retail stores.
• Oversees the compilation of all Retail VM directives based on key messages outlined at Market, heavy investments, and store tier/size/capacity.
• Responsible for managing other team members and freelancers with respect to the monthly floorset directive, and overseeing the Visual Communications & Graphics team, including their work on Photoshopping of product images, mannequins, propping, and fixtures for window and interior renderings.
• Responsible for the body of information and communication of all directives and standards manuals.
• Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and PowerPoint.
• Review monthly floorset photos and direct/advise field team on VM standards and aesthetics.
• Partner with Retail, Wholesale, and International channels on assortment strategy by tier, and ensure proper depth is bought to enable key product initiatives.
• Responsible for generating new creative ideas for enhancing the display of product through Visual Merchandising, working with the Director of VM & Fashion Presentation.
• Ensure alignment with Web and Marketing on creative content and product messaging for global initiatives.
• Partner with Windows team to align on concept and cohesiveness of the message.
• Must have thorough knowledge of each season’s Collection, monthly product deliveries, and assortments by tier.
• Must be able to creative problem-solve and react quickly to address business concerns and be resourceful when working within budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate in a creative environment with other members of the team to achieve results.
• Work within a fast-paced environment in order to meet tight deadlines while ensuring that all directives and communications are accurate, clear, concise, and consistent with brand standards.
Qualifications:
• At least 7 years of industry experience and Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong computer graphics and rendering skills (Photoshop, InDesign)
• Must have portfolio demonstrating fashion styling and VM abilities.
• Must have elevated taste level and experience working at a designer brand.
• Must have experience compiling corporate VM directives.
• Must have strong awareness of fashion and industry trends and an ability to bring most forward ideas to the table.
