Responsibilities
Proofread the following according to accepted editorial standards and established style guidlines for content, style, accuracy and cohesiveness: internal and final proofs of catalog pages and covers, web copy, search engine optimization (SEO), blogs, eCommerce marketing projects, and other miscellaneous copy and projects as assigned.
Work with the proofreading team, copywriters, designers, merchandisers, account managers, and the purchasing and mutli-channel marketing departments to ensure accuracy of content.
Finalize InDesign files for collection by checking that all page elements fit within the page borders, conducting a spell check, fixing errors and synching to final page, and clearing pasteboards.
Utilize and follow all updated Proofreading Department Processes in order to enure consistency and efficiency of work interdepartmentally and cross-departmentally. Assist in updating and maintaining Proofreading Process Documents.
Assist in organiazing and rounting various projects through different dpeartments by utilizing project-management software.
Qualifications
Be a junior or senior in college, or a Spring 2017 graduate.
Arrange the internship with the educational institution on a for-credit basis, if necessary.
Schedule according to the following business hours: Summer internship hours are Monday-Friday (40 hours/week). Internships begin on June 5, 2017 and end August 18, 2017. Any exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
