Primary Purpose:
Support and drive the sample management, product integrity and timely delivery requirement for Wholesale Markets held within the US and overseas. Support Product Development functions as required.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Market Week and Product Development to…
• Execute day to day based on priorities set by Sr. Manager/ Manager and drives task completion and issue resolution.
• Work directly with SPs to manage sample execution and sample delivery.
• Work directly with Business Units to execute sample orders, maintain sample integrity and timely follow-ups
• Assist Sr. Manager/ Manager as required to coordinate material communication with SPs as well as material teams
• Work in ecVision to execute all aspects of sample management and reporting
• Primary point person to manage shipping documentation, logistics and invoice management for SPs and internal partners
• Data Analysis – Seasonal, project based
• Internal communication with New York Product Development teams as well as Asia, Merchandising, Production etc. teams and external communication with SPs and material vendors
Product Development
• Support development process and review of prototypes encompassing sample management, design aesthetic, product execution, margin requirement, and time line
• Understanding of the Product Development Timeline and partner with PD teams, Design, Merchandising, Materials, Production, and the NY Workshop to maintain product integrity and cross functional synergy
• Initiate and keep track of status of material and sample requests, approvals, and alert management of exceptions
• Update and maintain accurate costs in all internal costing tools based on product updates and costing milestones
• Manage development costs, final costs and monthly PO costs in ecVision and SAP
• Review cost sheets and validate cost components/ factory charges against necessary tools (i.e. Matrices, Samples)
• Update and maintain necessary tools in ecVision with proficiency (Design Cards, Functionality Chart, Development Logs and Matrices)
• Send development packages to overseas partners and sample facilities. Ensure accuracy of information
The accomplished individual will possess…
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in Market Week and or handbag / accessories product development
• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multitask
• Strong analytical and decision making skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to interact with others and resolve conflict within various levels of the organization
• Must be able to perform efficiently in a high pressure, fast paced environment
