Do you love retail? Whether it's crunching numbers, working directly with Catherines customers, or keeping up on the latest fashion trends, Catherines will promise to provide you with a hands-on learning experience that you will never forget!
As a Catherines summer intern, you will get exposure to our Executive Leadership Team members, contribute to our business and be a part of an exciting corporate culture unmatched by anyone else. Catherines 10 week summer internship program will prepare you to work at the home office of a retailer, putting you a step ahead of your competition.
As a subsidiary of ascena Retail Group, Catherines is among several of their popular brands: Justice, LOFT, Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, DressBarn and Maurices. Today with more than 370 locations nationwide—along with catherines.com—the Catherines brand continues to fulfill its promise to women everywhere as the fashion and fit authority for sizes 16W–34W and 0X–5X.
An intern in the department of technical design will gain an understanding of how construction and fit are incorporated into a final garment. You will work with designers to translate their desired styling into a well-constructed and fitted garment, and help bring their vision to life. You will also work with merchants, sourcing, and other cross-functional teams to create technical packages that are all inclusive of a product’s design. You will help take samples and create fit and style-related measurements, as well as help create details such as stitches and other components. An internship in the technical design department will help you become more well-rounded, and understand the life cycle of how a garment is made from start to finish in a vertical retail company.

• Taking part in wear tests and fittings with our fit model
• Help process development of technical package, fit photos, and fit comments
