GENERAL FUNCTION The Strategy RxO Director is responsible for developing and designing the long term network strategy for lab operations and lens sourcing for Americas. Our lab network spans across several central facilities and ~1,000 Lens Crafter stores with several thousand employees and hundreds of million in total annually operating expense. Ensures successful design and implementation of transformation projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops strategic roadmap for Retail Optical Americas Operations and supports long range planning.
• Leads network transformation projects ($100MM+ in capital investment). Has close partnership with lab operations, logistics, lens sourcing and retail brands to define the future of our lab netowrk strategy.
• Ad hoc researches in eco system trends, competitor dynamics and benchmarking studies to inform our long term strategy in lens sourcing and lab operations.
• Responsible for key strategic projects and major transformations.
• Develops analytical models/insights and business cases for new initiatives.
• Leads cross-functional teams to design and implement key initiatives.
• Suports global Rx opererations design and development
• Collaborates with, consults and influences all levels of management (including company CEOs) and associates to drive decisions and results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
• 10+ years' experience in business
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Exhibits thought leadership; strategic, independent and progressive thinking
• Ability to formalize structure around timelines, critical milestones, and tracking mechanisms
• Takes personal accountability to drive decisions and outcomes across the organization
• Proven effectiveness driving change in various organizational cultures
• Experience managing large cross-functional projects to successful conclusion
• Ability to collaborate, consult and influence all levels of management and associates
• Ability to challenge business leaders at all levels while building relationships and gaining respect. Effectively navigates the organization, leveraging authority and creditability
• Ability to excite leadership about the need for change
• High energy, action orientated
• Flexible and entrepreneurial
• Strong aspiration to be a leader in the organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA
• Licensed in the use of Lean/Six Sigma tools.
• Six Sigma Green belt, or in pursuit of attaining, is beneficial.
• 2+ years of experience as a consultant with McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Booz & Company, Accenture or similar
• 2+ years of project management experience, leading strategic projects for complex organizations
