Our Creative team operates as HSN’s in-house creative “agency” composed of such positions as Copywriters, Art Directors, Photographers, UX Designers, and many more. This team utilizes their experiences and talents on everything from photo shoots, writing creative content for digital, TV or our social platforms, or designing our next programming guide.
A Day in the Life
As our Sr. Copywriter, you’ll help lead and manage creative copy across all platforms making HSN an engaging and exciting place to shop! You’ll work with print, digital, broadcast and social media to create an engaging online customer shopping experience.
• Manage the content including writing promotional copy, editing, and concept creation
• Participate in seasonal storytelling and concepting
• Lead other cross functional copywriters editing their work and managing incoming writing requests, schedules, and workload calendars
• Maintain, enforce and update HSN style guide and copy standards
• Write and edit promotional copy, feature articles, emails and customer service-related copy and other digital materials
• Help determine/create unique selling angles for categories, promotions and products
• Proofreading and fact checking with 100% accuracy
• Maintain personal workload while managing writers to meet daily deadlines
• Provide guidance on enhancing process within the creative/copy team
• Collaborate closely with a Sr. Art Directors/Graphic Designers
• Work closely Sr. Art directors to develop processes within creative group
• Work with Traffic, Production Team, Content to ensure asset execution in a timely manner

Must Haves
**In order to be considered candidates must include writing samples**
• A 4-year college degree in a related field is required
• 3 years professional creative writing experience; strong ability to write compelling and persuasive direct-response copy
• A creative writing style that mixes editorial efficiency with a flair for inspiring and motivating our target customer.
• Must stay on top of retail and fashion trends and recognize ways to keep HSN's content relevant and fresh
• 1 year of management experience
• Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and other copy editing or authoring tools
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills in a high-energy fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily and ongoing basis is essential
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with all professional levels
Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “must haves”
Nice to Haves
• 5 years professional writing experience
• 3 years management experience
• Working experience at a major, Fortune 500/1000 brand, large company (+2500 employees) preferred
