GENERAL FUNCTION The Sr. Director of eCommerce leads all eCommerce marketing and branding for two fast growing e-commerce start-ups within Luxottica, including all brand & marketing strategy development and execution, as well as e-commerce UX/UI enhancements. Also drives customer acquisition and retention strategies and programs that support the growth of the business.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads all eCommerce marketing channels & branding for two fast growing eCommerce start-up businesses.
• Leads development and execution of eCommerce marketing and go-to-market strategy.
• Leads development and management of the brand strategy and related guidelines: owns brand book and oversees the management and training of brand.
• Leads development and execution of all customer acquisition and retention strategies.
• Oversees all eCommerce marketing campaigns, including setting strategic direction, project execution and ROI tracking.
• Leads and directs agency work including creative design and execution, media negotiation and buys, and ROI tracking.
• Owns the voice of the customer, partnering with customer service.
• Owns development & management of all eCom marketing analytic KPIs.
• Owns development & management of all web analytics, partnering with Business Intelligence, to drive eCommerce performance, testing, enhancements, and promotion/UX optimizations.
• Owns development of eCommerce UX/UI functionality & enhancement roadmap, partnering with IT for execution.
• Collaborates with merchandising team on product and brand promotions.
• Manages marketing budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with Finance.
• Oversees all eCommerce and brand marketing spend.
• Owns and tracks marketing effectiveness and ROI dashboards, partnering with reporting teams.
• Continuously monitors competitor brands and activity, partnering with competitive intelligence and research teams to understand market dynamics and opportunities.
• Partners with other Incubator and business unit teams on broader initiatives & business unit objectives.
• Partners with sales and service leadership teams to support sales initiatives.
• Engages and works cross functionally with other Luxottica marketing and eCommerce leaders.
• Owns relationship with marketing agencies and manages all external vendor relationships.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business related field
• 12+ years of B2C e-commerce & brand marketing experience
• 5+ years direct management/supervisory role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA (Marketing)
• Experience leading all aspects of marketing for an eCommerce business
• Experience building an eCommerce business from the ground-up & building a brand
• Experience working in a fast-paced high growth business
• Significant experience developing, managing and executing e-commerce marketing strategies
• Significant experience developing, managing and executing customer acquisition & retention strategies
• Very high level of personal responsibility and accountability
• Very high level of demonstrated achievement
• Excellent communications, customer service, presentation and writing skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, both internally and externally
• Strong understanding of budgeting & financial planning process
• Strong understanding of marketing analytics & ROI
• Previous experience managing a P&L
• Deep knowledge of e-commerce marketing systems, tools & platforms
• Proven project management skills
• Experience managing and partnering on IT projects
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
