POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing key marketing strategies that build client love and drive differentiation for Sephora. Work closely with cross-functional partners (brand marketing, creative, store design, merchandising, visual merchandising, digital, social, video, analytics) to build comprehensive 360 degree marketing plans that deliver on business objectives. Oversee and maintain holistic marketing calendar. Facilitate planning and prioritization discussions. Develop key strategic presentations. Track and report key marketing metrics.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Marketing Strategy
◦ Lead strategic, multi-channel, and cross-world projects related to the Sephora brand
◦ Brief creative and editorial organization to bring to life marketing strategies via compelling messaging and visuals
◦ Captain Sephora storytelling in our store environments (multi-branded fixtures, innovation, services)
◦ Act as brand ambassador for the rest of the organization and ensure consistent client messaging across channels and campaigns
• Planning & Prioritization
◦ Partner across the organization to develop and maintain overall marketing calendar
◦ Own ongoing planning and prioritization meetings
◦ Sponsor strategic tradeoff discussions across the organization
• Insights & Presentations
◦ Own holistic client insights for the marketing organization
◦ Partner with analytics and market research teams to monitor consumer trends
◦ Share insights to inform marketing campaign planning
◦ Develop key presentations such as brand health reports, communication to executive leadership, and annual marketing strategy
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 7 years of experience in consumer branding, marketing, and strategy; retail or beauty industry experience preferred
• Strategy driven, action oriented, results focused
• In-store fixtures and collateral experience a plus
• Experience managing complex budgets and marketing plans
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Ability to operate in the gray with shifting and conflicting priorities
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas
• Creative self-starter with can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach
• Personable and flexible with demands and changes in extremely fast-moving business environment
• Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a highly cross-functional and matrixed organization
• Passion for Sephora, our programs, clients, store associates, and marketing
• Limited travel as required
