Primary Purpose:
The Director, Visual Merchandising Communications & Operations will lead and manage the overall VM communications calendar, logistics, and process. This Director acts as the “gel’ across all VM functions and provides critical back of house support. You will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will interact with cross-functional partners to ensure that Coach Inc.’s visual standards are continuously elevated. The position reports directly to the Vice President, Global Merchandising.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to…
• Coordinate the schedule, photography and logistics of all VM Guidelines; manage the booking, budget & day to day operations for all photo-shoots for all channels (Retail, Outlet, Wholesale)
• Manage the Global VM Calendar to ensure all VM Guidelines get published on time across all languages globally
• Lead all cross-functional projects and act as the Project Manager in the VM team.
• Project manage the VM Training Roll-Out globally in partnership with the Global VM Training Team; coordinate the development of all tools including videos for training
• Oversee the management and continuous improvement of the global VM Intranet – Work with IT & Finance to keep updating this channel to support faster, innovative VM Communication to stores
• Partner with local VM leaders to understand needs & implement any on-going feedback
• Work with local and global Retail Operations teams to keep pushing for a more efficient VM Communication platform
• Manage T&E for the overall VM Team & Global VM Guidelines Budget
• Manage and support development of the VM communication & operations team

• 10 years+ years of visual merchandising communications/operations/production experience within a fast paced, retail environment
• Minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experiencing managing team budget
• Strong digital & communication skill set
• Global experience, highly preferred
