Our Creative team operates as HSN’s in-house creative “agency” composed of such positions as Copywriters, Art Directors, Photographers, UX Designers, and many more. This team utilizes their experiences and talents on everything from photo shoots, writing creative content for digital, TV or our social platforms, or designing our next programming guide.
A Day in the Life
The Sr. Photo Studio Manager will provide breakthrough imagery solutions within a high-volume, fast paced photography studio. The ideal candidate will bring innovation to photographic workflows; reduce operational costs while improving the quality of imagery produced. The Sr. Manager is required to stay at the forefront of imagery within cross platform retailing, ensuring that HSN is ahead of the curve and ready to incorporate relevant solutions into the customer experience. This position will also be required to understand the broader business strategies of new imagery standards, technologies and equipment.
• Manage daily operations of a team of Photographers, Art Directors, Stylists, Retouchers, Project Managers and Product Coordinators
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to develop a time sensitive workflow process to increase on-time deliverables for digital and on-air network stills and video
• Lead process and aesthetic innovations within the high-volume photography studio to drive sales
• Reduce the amount of reshoots and ultimately reduce costs by sticking to process and holding accountability of responsible parties
• Creatively problem solve and troubleshoot issues within the photo studio while remaining calm under pressure
• Maintain a daily shot quota for each photographer/stylist team keeping in mind costs per shot and difficulty of category
• Forecast monthly budgets creative finance partners; alerting finance to any projected overages and reasons

Must Haves
• 5 years in a leadership role within a creative environment, with an emphasis on e-commerce studio photography and post production
• A working knowledge of digital photography, post production, lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics
• Experience booking on-call models, stylist and other team support including estimating and staying on budgets
• Experience developing, and managing a team
• Experience managing a large budget
Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “must haves”.
Nice to Haves
• Working knowledge of still and moving imaging software for both Mac and PC platforms
• Proficient on both the Macintosh (OSX) and PC computing platforms.
