Rodale, the world’s leading independent health and wellness publisher is seeking a Associate Digital Video Producer for the newly created DREAM FACTORY. Part advertising agency, part production house and all creative, we’re looking for a hands-on, do it all, imaginative and resourceful Associate Producer to help us make awesome content.
We want someone who has an eye for beautiful shots and can bring them together with awesome shooting, slick editing and high-end motion graphics on sometimes very limited budgets. (You know how it is… or at least we hope you do!). Someone who loves video gadgets. Someone who loves working with others, creating short and long form original video content all on budget and on-time.
The Associate Video Producer of the DREAM FACTORY will be help at every level of the content creation process, starting from development, through pre and post-production. A strong team ethic, with respect for your fellow creative colleagues is a must. The ideal candidate should be able to see a concept on paper and help bring it to life with the right equipment, technology, talent and Video Magic.
The Associate Producer will report to The Dream Factory’s Executive Producer. This is a full-time position based in Emmaus, PA.
The ideal candidate must have:
• Ability to drive all phases of creative work from concept through production
• Ability to effectively collaborate with a small team of inter-disciplined Creatives, Writers, Producers, Editors etc…
• Communicate clearly and consistently with Executive Producer
• Taking responsibility for content quality and on-time, on-budget completion of deliverables
Key Responsibilities:
• Shooting: The ability to shoot on multiple types of cameras; excellent knowledge of film language and various shooting styles/ techniques
• Editing: Non-linear editing capabilities, including basic color correction and sound editing as well as building of simple graphics/ lower thirds
• Motion graphics: Producing motion graphics as additions to live action or even full videos
• Technical Coordination: The ability to lead the setup of multi camera shooting environments and live-switching on set
• Delivering: An understanding of the delivery process of uploading for archive, to CMS’ and SEO practices
• On top of trends and changes in the video world including new products, methods and capabilities
• Deliver top quality work under tight deadlines
Requirements:
• An undergraduate degree in video, multimedia, communications, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience working in the video/ advertising/ tv/ film space
• Experience editing with Adobe Premiere, including basic color correction skills
• Experience shooting with Canon and Sony camera; with an understanding of work flow
• Experience with motion graphics using Adobe After Effects
• Experience working in an online editorial environment, particularly with regards to content management systems, video, and social media
• Ability to work with people at many levels
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the Rodale voice
• A desire to work with a team of like-minded creative professionals
