Western Europe is a market of 5 clusters (Central, North, South, France and Iberia) with an annual sales value of around € 4 billion, handling both brands adidas and Reebok across all channels.
Purpose
Within the identified acct clearly lead , define and deliver the optimum category / product assortment to deliver against the agreed commercial requirements whilst generating brand heat through creating and executing consumer activation plans
Key Accountabilities
• Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, defining the product vision within the acct and working closely with merchandising , sales, channel marketing to ensure brand and customer satisfaction goals are met.
• Creation of an aligned seasonal marketing calendar incorporating all relevant aspects of product , retail and brand activity
• Drive sales and share growth ensuring all commercial and strategic goals are met
• In conjunction with the range architecture team team , global SMU and sales define the acct product strategy and roadmap
• Create , execute and manage the range proposition process from virtual download to sales launch including pre line process. Ensuring smooth account interaction process.
• Ensure the brand wins at point of purchase in key categories and doors presenting the brand in a compelling and engaging way
• Ensure share of space especially in key locations and doors
• Work closely with WE category management and sales teams, and the global Channel CoEs to gather commercial range needs from the European market countries and channels for the specific acct.
• Provide regular analysis of sell-through performance of all fascias to the relevant category teams and contribute to strategic planning based on that analysis .
• Manage in line / smu / RMA and DP process for acct
• Be the lead marketing point of contact both internally and externally for product / ranging process / activation.
• Clearly define the category product proposition including retail price strategy, forecasting consolidation and phasing approach
• Closely co-operate with Global Brand teams (most importantly GTM, GTM Merchandising, and BUs) to secure a best practice level of implementation of global brand and product strategy.
• Manage direct reports and team members ensuring a high performance work culture
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Conduct relevant reporting activities to measure the efficiency and commercial success of the range season over season
• Secure visibility of account range proposition to relevant country and global teams through systems management and communication process.
• Collaborate with WE Demand Planning team and SCM functions as appropriate
• Understand the European consumer retail environment including distribution points , share of buy , competitor ranges and pricing strategies
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience

• Previous experience in Category Management or Merchandising/ Ranging/ SMU / Sales
• Strong business acumen, ability to assume a broader perspective (cross-markets/ global)
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
• Fluent in English
Qualifications
1. University degree in business preferred, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
2. Category Management/ Ranging/ Merchandising Experience or account marketing / sales : 7 - 8 years
