Title Designer-Color and Print
Overview
To support the senior designer by completing print and color related duties in an efficient and timely manner and providing the assistance they need to create and execute product that represents the unique style of the free people customer. Create at least 9 items per assigned delivery from concept to production. They must be designs that are chosen to develop and produce.

Responsibilities
• Source inspiration for prints to translate into original designs as they apply to senior designer’s vision
• Create print repeats and yarn dye layouts and provide colorways
• Create cads in order to communicate placement of prints on garments
• Create packages to be sent to vendors and factories
• Communicate with product development team and vendors to ensure proper execution of prints and yarn dyes
• Create print programs at manager’s request
• Contribute to and participate in trend meetings for each season
• Conduct research and create prints for specific design projects as needed
• Attend and participate in design and design flow meetings
• Lead print meetings with buyers and designers in order to meet their print needs while executing the vision of senior designer
• Train assistants in photoshop, and other cad programs as needed
• Keep personal and shared spaces organized, clean, and tidy
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of the Free People aesthetic and customer
• Understanding of printing techniques and ability to problem solve around print limitations
• Collaborative mentality with strong communication skills
• Experience in Photoshop
• Illustrator, NedGraphics, and Tradestone experience welcomed
