SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst is primarily responsible to act as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) group and the Business Unit partners. This position represents the business perspective of a system development project. The Business Analyst will work with the Business Units to: define business requirements, develop business processes, and validate business processes against systems, execute user testing and participate in end user training. The Business Analyst will be the knowledgeable both from a business perspective and a system functionality perspective.
DESCRIPTION:
• Analysis and Solution Definition: Understands Cabela’s organization's direction, structure, and requirements, analyzes Cabela’s organization's industry and competitive position. Research Cabela’s organization’s industry and competitive position. Assist in the collection and consolidation of required information and data. And document and analyze required information and data. Prepare requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations.
• Technical Recommendation and Testing: Understands technical design specifications and defines test conditions. Develops accurate and complete test plans as well as conduct testing according to plan. And identify and document system deficiencies and recommends solutions. And complete retests as necessary.
• Project Execution: Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goas and timelines. Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and scheduling, take input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback. Understand and adheres to the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently. Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas. Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively and understands the components of running a fiscally successful project and carries out project support and administrative functions. As well as establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively.
• Innovator Development: Understand the professional development process and becomes actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning. Seeks input from mentors and supervisors and actively applies feedback received to day-to-day work and strives to improve performance. Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies. Share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.
• Internal Operations: Accurately completes and submits time, expense reports, and status reports in a timely manner. Complies with all our policies and procedures
• Leadership: Follow through with commitments and fosters mutual trust with fellow Innovators. Assume additional responsibility without being asked and encourages fellow team members to make innovative contributions and embrace new ideas. Proactively take initiative to do what is needed without being asked and is a self-starter.

• Cabela’s Management: Anticipate Cabela’s needs before they arise and presents solutions to project management that encompass issues at hand. Understand expectations that were set with Cabela’s and recognizes when issues/events may affect delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Passionate about our core values, creating legendary customer experience and building brand loyalty thru exceptional service.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Information Systems or Information Technology or related field required, or equivalent work/military experience.
• 0 – 6 + years of developing commercial grade application with medium to large scale deployments business or technical requirements
• Strong ability to build consensus; ability to influence others, and maintain safety and security of sensitive personal information.
• Technical understanding of basic internet and server architecture.
• Experience working both independently, and in a team oriented collaborative environment.
• Able to retain a large amount of information, and be able to effectively convey that information when needed.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of the IIBA standards and practices.
• Process basic knowledge of HTML, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
