About the Team
The Product Photography + Styling team is committed to creating and delivering high quality product photography for the best client experience. We collaborate internally with our Merchandising, Design, Marketing and Creative teams in order to successfully deliver beautifully styled on-figure, video, wall pin-up and lay down images. About the Role
This is a freelance role, we hire based on an as-needed basis for the photo studio.
As the Freelance Product Photographer, you will enter into a partnership with the Product Photography + Styling team in this exciting time as we begin the process of moving into a brand new photo studio. You will be responsible for product photography for our internal website. You will be creatively driven and have a critical eye for lighting and detail with the intent to continually make improvements to product photography. Candidate must be familiar with the intricacies of high volume photographic production, be able to meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible to the ever-changing environment of a fast-growing company.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
• Serve as Freelance Product Photographer, shooting high-quality digital photography and video across all on-figure, hanger/wall pin-up and lay down product categories.
• Partner with your team on-set to ensure daily shot counts have been met.
• Guide the constant improvement of product photography quality and maintain the visual style and presentation of our brand of photography and video.
• Demonstrate expert lighting techniques with the intent to highlight the characteristics of various merchandise categories.
• Work with the Photo, Production, Retouching and Styling teams to establish and maintain an efficient workflow between merchandise staging area and photography sets.
• Ensure product imagery is organized and uploaded to our on-line storage system.
• Upload images/videos to internal software on a daily basis and responsible for keeping projects organized for cross-functional partners.
• Organize, create, and deliver contact sheets to the photo team.
• Set up and tear down studio equipment and lighting when necessary.
• Help maintain studio space and ensure equipment is clean and organized.
• Work in an environment that fosters continuous growth and development.

• You are flexible with your schedule and can work on an as-needed basis.
• You are able to work in our downtown San Francisco studio during office hours.
• You have an advanced degree or related experience in the photography field (bachelors degree minimally required).
• You have 5+ years commercial photography experience in a high-volume production studio.
• You have expert-level proficiency with the current industry-standard software tools (Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Capture One Pro 8 and above) and proficiency with basic scripting, color theory, Microsoft Office, and Mac OS.
• You have a professional photography portfolio that demonstrates an expert-level knowledge of digital photography, including lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics across an array of client environments.
• You have expert knowledge of all stages of the photography process & tools including in Digital Photography, Canon camera, Profoto and Broncolor lighting systems and traditional grip practice.
• You have a proven track-record in project management, preferably in photo studio.
• You are a quick problem solver with a proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• You are self-driven and able to effectively communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a multi-team environment.
• You have excellent communication and organizational skills, both verbal and written.
• You must be able to lift 25lbs.
• You thrive in high-volume, fast-paced and feedback driven environments.
