JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to help lead the design process to yield consumer driven, innovative, and commercially viable products that deliver value and style for the Levi’s brand, as well as, sustain the development, evolution and communication of the brand look that supports and deepens the brand value and identity. Contribute to design vision that inspires both global and local creative hubs and brings product to life.
• Communicate a clear design point of view and direction.
• Attuned to global merchandising and design trends in the global and local marketplace.
• Contribute to the development of seasonal design platforms and concepts by identifying consumer relevant opportunities through market research
• Understanding of broader design trends across multiple categories and disciplines.
• Execute the design process components to achieve or exceed targets for the seasonal calendar, assortment plan and source location requirements
• Sustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals
Qualifications:
• College Degree in Design (which may include illustration, graphic design, textile design) or 4+ years of combined college education and work experience equivalent to a degree)
• 5+ years work experience in design environment
• Strong design/drawing/painting skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Suite
• Strong team oriented individual with the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• PC/MAC literacy/fluency including Excel and Powerpoint
• Knowledge of PLM would be helpful
