PURPOSE
To work with Marketing Director, Manager and brand teams across the Coty Colour portfolio to develop, lead and execute all digital media planning and strategy with excellence. Accountable for all digital touch points and activity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
DIGITAL PLANNING
• Working alongside brand teams and agency to develop bespoke digital strategies per brand
• Understanding the brand ethos of a wide portfolio of brands and creating specific strategies that do not canabalise each other’s SOV within digital
• Working with brand teams to implement digital plans for brand campaigns throughout the calendar, supporting relevant launches to deliver 360 marketing campaigns
• Ensure all digital activity is aligned across all platforms and is consistent with wider brand plan
• Strong working relationship with global brand teams to execute global campaigns in the UK market – localising and challenging on additional elements required for best in class activations
• Digital strategy integration with centralised digital team and understanding bespoke processes needed for all digital activation in market
• Constant acceleration of all brand plans to lead mass market category in digital excellence
MEDIA PLANNING
• Close working relationship with external media planning team to develop plans, keeping up to date on latest developments in digital to engage consumers online
• Ownership and accountability of all digital plans and sign off including digital display, VOD, paid social and search
• Working with brand managers to advise on digital activity to ensure campaigns are optimised and provide a clear user journey and objective
• Challenging agency on creating industry-leading digital plans and reviewing all post-campaign reports to ensure best practice and learnings are implemented across the portfolio
• Ownership of SEM strategy alongside agency (SEO & PPC)
• Working alongside PR team and agency to accelerate Coty Vlogger strategy
BRAND PLATFORMS:
• To develop and manage the strategy behind all brand platforms and review execution of all social, e-mail and website activity
• Ultimate accountability for all content published on social channels by digital team
• Sign off required on all social calendars created by Digital Executives
• Strategic lead on all digital brand-building campaigns
E-RETAIL
• Develop close working relationships with key members in sales team and digital retailers to ensure Coty brands are best in class across all e-retail partners
• Supporting the Assistant Brand Manager in the development of strategy for all colour brands on E-retail platforms
• Working with brand teams to sign off all large-scale e-retail activity – feeding in to determine KPIs per campaign
• Ownership of digital immersion sessions to empower and excite key retailers to ensure Coty continue to be digital partner across all main accounts
DIGITAL TRACKING:
• Accountable for the delivery of all digital media PCA reports from agency
• Tracking all owned brand website and social media activity and reporting back to wider team
• Working with centralised digital team to review digital activity with other markets and share best practice
• Leveraging and local ownership of global tools across analytics to review all digital activity and confidently report back to wider business on key successes
• Up skilling all members of the digital team in usage of all global tools
COMMUNICATION & BEST PRACTICE SHARING
• Champion digital activity across all brands, maintaining regular dialogue with Global, PR and Internal brand and sales teams, sharing key success stories across the business to encourage, motivate and inspire
• Attend relevant industry conferences to inform better knowledge
• Regular contact with key media owners and publishers to ensure Coty brands are first to market with new activations
• Working alongside media agency to submit case studies and whitepapers to industry to highlight key digital successes
• Presenting at internal and external meetings on digital strategy, highlights and best in executions
TEAM
• Lead and manage a team of 3 working across all Coty Colour brands
• Responsible for development and up skilling of team across Coty Core competencies and digital discipline
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with energy, enthusiasm and a dedication to succeed. You will be given responsibility from the start and will be expected to take charge and make things happen.
• Degree in related discipline or equivalent
• Previous digital marketing experience – minimum 5 years (in-house or agency)
• Previous experience managing agencies
• Previous experience in FMCG environment/with FMCG clients is an advantage
• Strong appreciation of beauty sector and passion to work with cosmetics/fragrance/toiletries
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong copywriting skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong networker across all levels
• Experience managing a small team preferable
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
• Demonstrate a pro-active attitude and flexible approach
• Ability to develop effective working relationships, both internally & externally and be a good team player
• Digital native with genuine passion for social media and experience using Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest both within professional environment and for pleasure.
• Able to demonstrate a creative flair!
