POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will lead GLAMGLOWs Global Education and Event efforts with the objective to bring the unique DNA of GLAMGLOW to life and drive sales ahead of the industry. This candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the brand wins with dedicated staff as well as generic retail staff across a diverse portfolio of channels. This role will also lead all brand events spanning both education - and consumer events for superior execution in-store.
This role will help articulate and shape GLAMGLOW’s long-term education and event pillar - turning it into a key business driver. This candidate will direct the yearly education and event strategy and will develop education programs, service protocols and event tools. This position will work side by side with global development disciplines inclusive of Product Development, Product Marketing, and Consumer Marketing & Creative in developing winning products, services and content – executed cohesively across all touch-points.
This position will work with regions, travel retail and online in the execution of GLAMGLOW’s education and event strategy – and as such will participate in a range of events. Specifically for the North America region, this person will direct education and event planning and execution – working closely with the sales, marketing and field teams.
This position reports to the Vice President of Global Marketing & Education.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Articulate and shape GLAMGLOW’s education and event pillar into a key business driver for the brand.
• Inspire and motivate dedicated education and field teams as well as generic retail staff across a diverse portfolio of channels world-wide.
• Direct the global education and event strategy for the GLAMGLOW brand on a yearly basis.
• Partner with global product marketing, global consumer marketing, product innovation and packaging in the planning and conceptualization of winning launch – and evergreen programs.
• Develop and write strategic global education programs and create disruptive education tools. Ensure that market-specific and cultural needs are met within programs.
• Direct all consumer event efforts. Work closely with global partner disciplines to bring GLAMGLOW’s unique DNA <sexy, disruptive, fun> and new mega product concepts to life. Drive brand awareness, engagement, conversion and advocacy. Explore opportunities to link to brand’s social media engine.
• Work closely with regions, travel retail and online in the execution of GLAMGLOW’s education and event strategy. Lead a range of education sessions world-wide.
• In North America region, this role will direct education and event planning as well as execution – working closely with the North America sales, marketing and field teams.
• Ensure programs and formats are results-driven, disruptive, fun and user-friendly. Measure the impact of the programs through sales results. Continuously improve.
• Join founders in select Press and Mega Education Fairs as required.
Qualifications
• o BS/BA preferred
◦ 8+ years of relevant work experience
◦ Strong experience in global education and consumer events
◦ Strong experience in working with regions and markets world-wide
◦ Strong presentation skills both verbal and written
◦ Strong project management skills
◦ Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team
◦ Ability to work closely with creative teams to bring creative assets to life
◦ Ability to analyze data and deduce implications for future executions
◦ Team-player – highly collaborative and highly motivated to win as team
