Overview
Manage all production timelines and deliverables for eCommerce photography assets, vendor and freelance relationship and invoicing and budget for resource allocation for the still life studio.
Responsibilities
• Plan, produce and execute eCommerce photography for the still life studio, including supplemental editorials, for Tory Burch and Tory Sport global sites.
• Manage content briefs and mobilize cross-functionally to plan and produce requested assets in required timelines.
• Partner with VP, Photo and Art to identify and book best in class industry talent as well as consistently (daily, seasonally, etc.) evaluate quality in the execution.
• Responsible for managing work direction and prioritization for still life crew.
• Ensures projects are kicked off appropriately and in accordance to provided direction, contacts appropriate resources to clarify project direction as needed.
• Negotiate rates and facilitate contracts and setup for crew.
• Partner with the Director, Studio Operations to oversee the budget for all still life shoots - ecommerce and supplemental editorials.
• Negotiate with vendors (crew and catering) on continued basis to ensure financial responsibility while maintaining the brand’s quality standards.
• Manage monthly accruals, AP submissions, and ensure that the budget spend is accurate to yearly projections.
• Facilitate clear, constructive communication regarding project scopes, rates, dates, estimations, usages, bookings and invoices.
• Create budget projections for future fiscal years, taking learnings from the year and projecting YOY efficiencies.
• Partner with Merchandising, Buying and Creative teams to develop global seasonal shot lists for all regional and channel buys.
• Plan and execute photography during Market for various business critical needs – Visual, Wholesale, PR.
• Ensure efficient daily shot counts to maximize shooting time on set.
• Partner with Post Production to ensure that all assets are delivered for monthly launches and as requested by Buying and Creative partners.
• Review seasonal samples with Merchandising team due to last minute changes.
• Communicate sample and asset status with cross-functional teams, elevating risks to the business.
• Manage timelines and expectations between Creative and the studio to execute ecommerce and editorial content.
• Hold necessary meetings to review and update team on upcoming shoots and/or projects.
• Coordinate creative approval meetings as needed to ensure shoot concept(s) are approved advance of shoot.
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule; manage priorities when creative, due dates, or other variables are in flux.
• Procure props, fabrics, and any necessary set needs from internal and external resources.
• Manage time effectively and learn quickly; stay calm under pressure and excel in fast-paced project timeframes.
• Highly motivated team player with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
• Master existing technologies (Airtable for workflow, Adobe for asset management, Creative Cloud for
• Photoshop and InDesign, Office 365, SAP) to ensure that work is transparent to cross-functional partners.
Team Leadership
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, listening and oral/written communication skills.
• Experience with Photography and Video, specifically Digital environments; ideally in a ecommerce environment.
• Good creative problem-solving skills and abilities.
• Expert with imaging application such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
• Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, ability to multi-task, strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Adobe AEM and Scene7 as well as Airtable.
• Understanding of imaging production environments, workflow and asset management concepts.
• Top-notch organizational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed.
• Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions.
• Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
