Description
This position supports the Global Brand in the Global Brand Financial Group (GBFG). In general this group is responsible for Monthly Closing and Reporting, Monthly Estimate Process (collection, analysis and reporting), Capital management, Sarbanes Oxley governance, Expense Approvals, Royalties management (ADF), Ad-Hoc analytics and reporting, Annual Budgeting, Expense Management and other Support services for the Global Support Entity (“GSE”- Global Marketing, Global Creative, etc.). This group supports and collaborates with the Global Brand Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A).
The manager role will provide financial support to the Global team in the areas of Monthly Closing and Reporting, the Monthly Estimate process, Expense management for GSE, Annual Budgeting, Royalty reporting and analysis, Capital (Tooling), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other Ad-Hoc analyses.
• Monthly Financial Estimates: Develop and maintain monthly Financial Estimate files in the Corporate Performance Management system (“CPM”) for all functional areas of the Global Brand (GSE) for the Fiscal Year. Partner with associates in Global Support to compile the information from functional areas to be utilized in the monthly Estimate process and to ensure the accuracy of the monthly Fiscal Year Financial Estimate. On a monthly basis (for the quarter and year to date covering GSE and all affiliate estimate submissions) collect, review and provide analysis of the estimate projections vs. plan and prior estimate.
• Monthly Financial Closing/Expense Management: Manage the monthly closing function for the Global Brand. Ensure the third party provider is performing all accruals and that these are identified, verified, properly supported with the correct documentation / analyses and entered into the G/L system. Ensure all necessary journal entries, including prior period accruals and re-class entries are prepared, verified and entered properly. Provide financial partnership and analytics to the Global Brand in all aspects relating to the financial planning, reporting and expenses management of the GSE. Take an independent / objective approach in managing Actual expenses to plan or estimate for the GSE.
• Manage monthly and quarterly third party royalty reporting (ADF Brands) and assist with on-going licensor requests and audits
• Compile and review Global Brand P&Ls on a quarterly basis for ADF brand.
• Prepare, review and manage the Global Brand (GSE) annual budgets.
• Partner with the FP&A team on analytics and financial information generated from Company systems.
• Work closely with all GSE Departments (including and especially Creative, Consumer Engagement and Marketing) to track and manage program spend versus plan and estimates.
• Own tracking and management of the Capital spend vs. Plan and Estimates.
Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Degree in Accounting and or Finance. CPA/MBA a plus
• Strong PC skills and experience in Windows packages- (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). SAP/CPM
• Budget experience, Monthly estimate management experience
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Well organized and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
