GENERAL FUNCTION The Store Operations Director leads operational efficiency and process improvement for Oakley Retail. Guides field execution of cross functional, technically complex initiatives. Manages a world class merchandise flow to support delivery of Oakley Brand experience while maximizing cost savings and increasing profit. The Director serves as the operational liaison with Asset Protection, Finance, IT, Field, Visual Merchandising, Learning and Development, Marketing, Human Resources and Product Teams to manage all projects impacting the stores organization. Performs operations reporting including KPI dashboard, customer engagement, shrink, OneSight. Serves as the technical lead for store system builds, deployment, sustainment and enhancements including tablets, POS, HR systems and Reflexis.
Manages and consults a team of Operations, Store Technology, and Inventory Control Specialists and Coordinators, ensuring they are effectively accomplishing key initiatives and goals. Coaches, mentors, and motivates team to be proactive and accountable for assigned work.
Partners with key stakeholders, business partners, and senior leadership to define key initiatives, project scope, budget requirements, goals, and deliverables that support business goals and objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for all RTB operations for approximately 175 Oakley retail stores.
• Creates, implements, and maintains Store Policy & Operating Procedure manuals.
• Manages merchandise movements to/from stores and works with key partners to establish and communicate movement calendars.
• Owns Operations technology and store systems platforms, deployments, integrations, etc.
• Develops and maintains inventory control and loss prevention best practices.
• Coordinates scheduling and posting of store physical inventory counts and communicates results to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Partners with key stakeholders to develop and maintain POS Master Data information for stores.
• Manages and/or assists with third party vendor relationships to create, develop, and maintain products, pricing, and distribution of operating supplies for stores and back office teams.
• Partners with key stakeholders to maintain and develop hardware and software for store locations, including omni-channel integration.
• Partners with Legal department and other key stakeholders to create consumer facing policy for promotions and publications as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent relevant work experience
• 10+ years’ experience in a leadership (or related) role
• 5+ years’ experience in inventory control and/or operations management
• Solid background in store systems including POS, WFM, and HR Systems
• Unquestionable business and personal integrity and values congruent with those of the organization
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with senior leadership
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate a variety of content across multiple audiences
• Strong business acumen; extremely results-driven and metrics focused
• Ability to navigate and establish priorities
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Project Management experience preferably within retail
• Experience working in retail environment, supporting store operations
• Retail Pro (POS) Experience
• Retail Industry knowledge
