General Summary:
Leads the Information Technology Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Sales Service in support of $3.5B Campbell Snacks Business Unit, consisting of an IT organization of 11 employees and key outsourced partners. Manage approximately $6,000,000 annual IT operating budget and a $7,400,000 DSD transformation project budgets over the next 3 fiscal years. Responsible for leading and driving IT Functional leadership within the DSD sales IT domain and with the Campbell Snacks sales function, while also driving Sales & Distribution service enablement through emerging technology and optimized services to drive business growth and improved profitability. Member of the Global Sales IT Services Leadership Team and the Campbell Snacks Sales Leadership Team. Responsible for creating and managing Direct Store Delivery (DSD) IT Services, Technology Strategy, IT Roadmap, IT Service Management outcomes, solution delivery, and program capabilities. Partners with Campbell Snacks Sales Leadership Team to lead, advise, influence, and implement Functional and Business Unit programs, projects, and capability drivers to enable growth, improve earnings, and/or mitigate risk. Responsible for Information Technology program, services, and project delivery to deliver business benefits. This includes the recently CEO appoved DSD transformation project to reinvent the critical technology ecosystem that our distributors and sales employees use to drive revenue for the company. Responsible for overall budget within the DSD technology service. Responsible for talent management and employee engagement within functional group including organizational resource planning, performance appraisals, compensation, development planning, and maintaining employee engagement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic:
• Responsible for leading and driving Campbell Snacks Sales and DSD operations transformation through emerging and consumer based technologies and optimized services to drive business growth and improved profitability specific to Campbell Snacks and enabling Sales & Distribution processes. Including capability enablers in Direct Store Delivery tools, Independent Distributor handhelds, DSD In-Store Execution, Advanced Analytics, and Depot Management.
• Provide strategic influence and guidance for Campbell Snacks Sales as a member of the Sales Leadership Team.
• Lead Information Technology Strategy development and planning to enable growth, earnings improvement, and/or mitigating risk to the Campbell Snacks Sales Function.
• Lead and drive the DSD technology transformation through design thinking and innovation to deliver best in class technology solutions for distributors and the sales force
• Lead sales technology integration strategy and delivery for the integration of Snyder Lance and Campbell’s
• Identify Business Unit Sales value drivers and influence and/or lead development of Information Technology Roadmaps that deliver value-added business outcomes.
• Partner with other IT Functional Leads on IT strategic portfolio and resourcing to meet the strategic needs of the Campbell Snacks Sales function.
• Identify and lead Enterprise-wide initiatives that align and support activation of the Enterprise, Division, Functional or Business Unit strategies. Example – Business Systems Integration; Next Generation Handheld Computing; DSD Advanced Analytics & Process
Enablement; Depot Management Enablement.
• Identify and/or execute Information Technology strategic opportunities and programs that increase Business Unit value and create competitive advantage.
• Responsible for the success of DSD technology integration of mergers and acquisitions of external businesses into the Campbell Snacks portfolio.
• Influence Global Sales IT Services strategy and operational enablement.
Operational:
• Provide operational leadership for DSD IT Team, including 11 employees
• Manage and optimize $6,000,000 annual IT operating budget, and assigned project budgets, while maintaining IT Service Levels and improving business outcomes.
• Manage and deliver the DSD Transformation project with $7,400,000 project budget
• Manage vendor relationships in the DSD technology space holding them accountable to project delivery and support service levels.
• Serve as the Information Technology Lead for Campbell Snacks Sales leadership to engage and coordinate services enabled by Information Technology.
• Conduct ongoing governance and prioritization of Campbell Snacks Sales IT initiatives with Leadership Team.
• Conduct vendor management with outsourced partners and/or contractors.
• Lead and ensure execution of Functional and/or Business Unit-specific Information Technology programs and projects.
• Oversee Functional and Business Unit Information Technology Program and Project execution and service hand-off to ensure business outcomes and objectives are met.
• Identify and execute IT Service Management to deliver value creation and value protection, while optimizing costs and maintaining or improving IT service levels across DSD processes and other Functional needs.
• Influence solution architectures and services to enable DSD services.
• Create and drive advanced BI business analytics to increase business unit and functional benefits, and optimizes business outcomes.
Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage Information Technology Function consisting of DSD Sales Operations, Mobility and Analytics Program Leadership, consisting of 11 employees.
• Integrate legacy Snyder Lance DSD technology team into a unified high performing team.
• Responsible for talent management, organizational resource planning, succession planning, and recruitment within a local functional group
• Responsible for team performance appraisals, compensation, benefits, individual development planning, diversity action planning, and employee engagement action planning.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's of Science required. MBA is preferred.
• 10-15 years of Information Technology experience required
• Strong leadership and management experience required , leading moderate sized operational teams.
• Experience managing several technology partners and outsourced relationships.
• Strong Information Technology leadership and technical experience from a large company required, CPG Industry with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience is preferred.
• Experience in business integration, ERP, DSD, Business Intelligence, technology innovation, design thinking and Sales systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT practices and emerging trends, especially in areas of consumer based technologies enabling business processes
Working Conditions:
• Primary location in Camden NJ
• Travel Requirements: 25%
