Role Summary
The Head of Digital Technologies will be a business-minded technologist, who will work with the Chief Digital Officer and Heads of Product across consumer facing technologies (B2B and B2C), mobility solutions, payments and CRM platforms to develop a long-term strategy ensuring that their ambition is aligned with VCI’s strategic goals. They will also:
• Define and implement, in conjunction with the Chief Digital Officer, the direction of the overall digital strategy
• Work with the Chief Digital Officer in coordinating and managing the annual digital team's delivery calendar, and Roadmap
• Highly proficient in achieving product roadmap deliverables, engagement metrics and revenue objectives on time and on budget.
• Exceptional understanding of how digital data science can be utilized to create new capabilities, user experience improvements, and actionable insights
• Accountable for the effective resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with availability and business requirements.
• Responsible for estimation and IT resourcing for projects/products which are linked to/impact digital
• Work with the IT Digital Operations team to regularly monitor and review site performance against SLAs
• Ensure best practices and processes across the digital team for the consistent delivery of digital projects
Role Responsibilities
The following functions are the responsibility of the Digital Technology leader. This individual may be asked to perform these functions or work together with a team from other IT Departments, Business departments, and Third Party Supplier/Vendor personnel to integrate products and services, ensure compliance to VCI IT and other Corporate Standards and guidelines, and to provide the appropriate technical leadership to support the needs of each line of Business.
Leadership
• Define need for and develop initial budget and project definitions for strategic technology initiatives, prioritize the approve initiatives
• Establishes the strategic direction of technology but also responsible for the implementation planning and execution.
• Provide overall leadership, to both direct reports as well as managed service providers, for all operational activities for the IT Department
SLA and Service Management
• Ensure a stable and secure operational environment for VCI business applications to increase system availability, reliability and scalability through the management of outsourced service providers.
• Perform SLA contract management and oversee contract operations for all IT Infrastructure service levels, Govern service providers
• Responsible for determining current and future IT Services requirements of VCI
Technology Vendor Management
• Analyzing IT industry and market trends to determine their impact on the enterprise
• Review infrastructure technology vendor contracts
• Primary contact point for integration technology vendors
Technology Project Sponsorship
• Create a stable infrastructure through scalable, secure, and proven processes and technology implementations.
• Standardize architectural planning to improve efficiencies in the business and IT environment by lowering the time to delivery & cost of solutions (IT & Business) across the enterprise.
• Propose, sponsor and provide budget planning for IT Infrastructure projects to maintain, and upgrade the IT infrastructure, specifically in the Stability and Operational Excellence towers of the VCI IT strategy.
Work Flexibility
• Up to 20% travel (including travel to Germany)
Qualifications
Years of Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience of leading, building and managing the launch of consumer facing (B2B and B2C) technologies, eCommerce solutions and Digital Innovation projects
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services/retail lending/auto finance/capital markets/insurance industry
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading Cross-functional experience working with both internal and 3rd party development teams on-shore and off-shore and project management experience working with both creative agencies, brands
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering digital technologies using Agile methodology and will need to have superb interpersonal skills, experience leading an innovative team and have a passion for forward thinking digital transformation.
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering
Desired Education
• Master's degree, MBA, MIS or Computer Science Degree desired

Desired Specialized Skills
• Solid understanding of the planning and execution of organizational and cultural change programs
• ITIL, SAFe, Scrum, Dev Ops Certification
• SFDC certification
